888ml bottle from Pakn Save Hawera. Pours golden copper with a medium sized head. Aroma is tropical fruit, especially peach and mango. Flavour is much the same, fruity, resinous, fairly aggressive with the bitterness - I almost thought it was a DIPA at first. Yankee hops overpower the kiwi ones it seems. Seems to punch above the 7% abv. Very American IPA tasting, with a touch more malt than a West Coast IPA, but overall this is a very good beer. Havent tried anything else from Birkenhead but you know Ninkasi must have had a big hand in this beer - its that good. colui72 (1117) - HONG KONG - JUL 12, 2017
Pours clear deep golden, with a large off-white soapy head and some spotty lacing. Fantastic aroma, very fruity, with passion fruit, gooseberry, caramel and mango. Tastes very rich as well, with nice ale malts, caramel, biscuit, passion fruit, citrus, mango, gooseberry, medium to high bitter. Medium body, creamy, average carbonation, long finish. Excellent IPA. Bottle from Brewcraft drank after returning home from Cebu dive trip #2. Pours a clear orange-tan with a fine fizzy white head. Smells of dried mango, oily dank hop, moderate pepper, lightly spiced cereal malt. Taste is similar, though with less mango, more grassiness and pepper in the hop, and more booze- and malt-forward. Body is medium. Well balanced and executed. Peppery, mango/apricot wet hoppiness. Quite good! HKdIPA (853) - HONG KONG - JUL 9, 2017
Bottle from Brewcraft at home after returning from Cebu. Clear golden amber pour with fine white head. Aroma is mango, citrus, some pine - big hops, nice - with some cereal malt. Taste is dank tropical hops with the same cereal malt. Normal palate. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Quite good and would probably get again. GoufCustom (2205) - HONG KONG - JUL 6, 2017

330ml bottle bought at HK Brewcraft in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Looks: Clear golden orange colour; Three-quarter finger head with soapy off-white foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with active slight carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant full Ale malt, with strong black pepper, white grapes, gooseberry, melon, blueberry syrup, passion fruits, caramel, floral, molasses, spices, wood, resins, bread, lemon and strong grass. Very fruity!
Taste: Close to medium sweet full Ale malt, with citrus, fair grapefruits, fair white grapes, amber bockishness, caramel, floral, light molasses, pretty strong resin, spices, bread, strong herbs, strong lemon and strong bitter grassy hops.
Body: Close to full body; Smooth and oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Full Ale maltyness in a slightly creamy background, pretty amberish. Hop profile is strong herbal bitterness, where citrus and viney berries are both strong but bettered. Flowery and fair sweetness, spicy and increasingly oozy. Chewy bready with strong lemon to round. Excellent!
Hoppiness: Black pepper, white grapes, gooseberry, melon, blueberry syrup, passion fruits, floral, spices, wood, resins, lemon and strong grass in nose. Citrus, grapefruits, white grapes, floral, resin, spices, strong herbs, strong lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent bitter-sweet herbal malty finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry. Citrusy oozy and strong bitter to mouth.
Comments: Its aroma instantly get my attention with that strong combo of pepper, white grapes and blueberry. Taste wise is very malty with layered herbal oozy bitterness. Not necessarily the best IPA, but it’s right up there!
Bottle shared at HK Brewcraft on Hillwood Road. Clear and bright golden. Massive aroma of fresh tropical fruit. Quite a fresh and citric taste with a reasonably bitter backbone. explosivedog (1678) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 15, 2017
On tap at the Lumsden. Pours gold straw colour with little head. Orange, a little lime, biscuit. Smooth, clean, crisp. Does a great job of hiding its strength. Nice. Skarecrow (976) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 11, 2017

Sparkling amber color with generous two finger head.
Aroma is grapefruit, peach and mango.
Medium bitterness with pine resin, grass & orange palate.
Pretty damn good.
Oily grassy hoppy bitter orange resin. What a roller coaster and what a bit of brewing. Superb. DylansDad (663) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 5, 2017
900ml bottle. Pours a beautiful crystal clean amber with a finger and a half of fluffy off white head. Aroma is fairly subdued but includes a bit of copper floral herb pineapple. Taste at first is good but muddled. After a few hundred ml the flavours start becoming more identifiable. Grass, mango, petrol, white wine, some berries, grapefruit, resin. Mouthfeel is light medium with a light oiliness on top. It,s sweet, yet dry. Smooth bitterness with a definite black pepper edge. As it warms, orange and petrol round out the back. One glass isn,t enough.
