Cloudy amber color with generous head. Nice aroma, not powerful, but rich: a lot of fruity esters, some caramel and dust. Good body strength, smooth and highly carbonated mouthfeel lean; strong malt and caramel flavor; a bit dusty and milky; the bitterness is maybe too much, with a hint of vegetables in the final.
Bottle shared by Andreas Gänstaller. Effervescent amber brown, tall-building head, seems to be over-carbonated / over-fermented due to age.daniele (9219) - ITALY - FEB 4, 2014
Nose of oxidized brown malt, wood oil, herbs and spice and a smidgin of alcohol. A little yeasty due to the strong carbonation yeast, overly phenolic and a little dirty. Medium bodk, semi-sweet, some caramelization, low bitterness, some astringency similar to wood oil, could be unintended acids, but could also be the coriander (which I don’t pick up in the nose) and lemon myrtle (which I guess blends in with the yeast and hops).
