domienS (250) - Oostakker, BELGIUM - AUG 15, 2013
Dark beer with a light amber foamy head, almost no saturation. Smells malty, hoppy, spicy, liquorish and a little caramel. Full bodied taste, little bitterness. Long and nice aftertaste. Really good Christmas beer, could drink a few of these during cold winter days :)

3.2
666ale (86) - Edimburg, SCOTLAND - AUG 13, 2013
Well, not bad at all, but the body and the taste are a bit too watery for a quadrupel ale in my opinion. just my opinion!

jmuhops (669) - Winchester, Virginia, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Russet brown with a one-finger beige head. Raisin and brown sugar dominates the reticent aroma, which also gives hints of cocoa, spice, and citrus zest. The flavor’s not so shy, with a deft balance between raisin-and-fig sweetness and herbal bittering hops and orange zest. The result is a big beer that drinks small, a somewhat brooding beer that ends up bright and fresh. Very well done.

Bottle. Deep brown taste. Boozy. Sippable. A little tart. Pretty good. More like a Belgian strong ale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fra flaske på Tap1 mai-13: jul på italiensk kan trygt anbefales. Inspirert av belgiske klosterøl iflg. importøren. En elegant hyllest til de belgiske klosterbryggerne!

jesperhammer (4735) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 26, 2013
24-MAY-2013, bottle @DØE Ølfestival 2013. Clear amber with tan head. Weak, sweet aroma of malt. Taste is much better with bread, dried fruit, nuts. Above average body and very soft carbonation. No real bitterness. Tasty, but not as good as the Belgians.

3.9
Holmen2 (3629) - NORWAY - MAY 24, 2013
Almost black in colour with a hint of red. Arome of dark caramel and prune cake. Good taste, that that is reminiscent of both dark Belgian trappist ale and old ale of the UK.

3.3
sfhodense (4789) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAY 13, 2013
Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, perfume and dark fruit. Flavour is caramel, perfume and alcohol.
