Bottle, 6,5%... weird. Pours a clear chestnut colored beer with a small off white, airy head on top. Aroma has roasted nuts, ground aroma, leaf, citrus zest and some smoke. Flavor is mildly roasted, some earthy chestnuts in there for sure, some citrussy freshness in the palate as well. Aftertaste is quite short and herbal bittersweet, carbonation is fairly low. Pours dark copper, quite fizzy, with a frothy off-white head. All-spices aroma, very malty, smokey, slightly fruity. Taste is better, if you haven’t tried dried chestnuts can’t find fresh chestnut flavour here, the dried guys are here and can taste ’em well. Very distinctive. Complex with notes of smoke, coriander, orange rind, sweet malts, and very mild bitterness. Light bodied, unexpected, but smooth and lively carbonated, long finish. Borefts VIII. Day 2. Keg. Clear amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts. Minerals. Dried fruits. Light dry finish. Fine.
Almost clear dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has some toasted malt but not much else. Taste is quite weird. Earthy, slightly astringent, bready, maybe just a hint of chestnut. Bottle, Reggina del Formaggio, Split, shared with heavy (thanks!). Clear ruby body, maybe slightly amber-riddled. Light malty, vaguely chestnutty aroma, ok, but not impressive. Dry taste, malty, carrying some meaty notes and vague, vaaague tartness. Eh, wasn’t impressed at all, not my type of beer. Kinda like most other chestnut beers, I guess.

On tap @ Q-Quality Castellanza.Marrone scuro, riflessi rubino, solo parzialmente velata.Schiuma beige fine non molto persistente. Aroma non molto intenso ma fine. abbastanza complesso. Tostato, di cacao e frutta secca, affumicato, castagne cotte, caramello, e zucchero di canna. Leggero di lievito belga. Dolce abboccata quasi amabile, ma acidula per via della tostatura, leggermente affumicata, poco amara. Equilibrata, poco corposa, non molto carbonata decisamente rotonda, non molto calda. Armonica. UPDATED: NOV 22, 2016 Pours dark brownish with ruby shades and a tan frothy head. Very intense aroma of sweet molasses, chestnuts, chestnut honey, malt and a hint of smoke. In the mouth is coplex, very sweet and malty, nutty, yeast, sort of chocolate, chestnuts again and the finish is a little bitter, which cleans the mouth and prepare for another sip. Medium to full body, creamy texture, almost oily. Very solid beer, well done.

At BBF, clear beautifull depish copper color, malty nutty aroma, sour fruit caramel and malty flavor with some nuts. Drinkable but not too exciting.
