COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chestnut beer. Available January-March and September-November.

EBC: 19

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2012 Buona birra davvero!

Caramel and malt flavour, I found it very good in taste especially for the chestnuts taste which is very noticeable. One of the best chestnuts based beer I’ve ever tried. Brown and tiny white head, and very pleasant in the final. My overall opinion is absolutely positive. I like this beer very much.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of honey and caramel malt with light roasted chestnut. Taste is also dominated by a complex mix between some chestnut and some honey with a nice malt caramelized backbone. Body is about average with nice creamy texture with great carbonation. Very well brewed with amazing level of complexity and great drinkability factor.

Corpo bem acobreado. Forte no malte. Lúpulo balanceado. Parece uma Bitter Ale. Muito boa.

Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized sticky fluffy white foamy head on top of a beautiful hazy orange colored beer. Aromas of nuts, peppers, some cloves, yeast, some malts and something bark/chalk a like tones. Flavour has some good tones of spices and herbs, yeast, bitters, some hints of cloves, white pepper, some malts, some hops, light peach, saison ish tones, raisin, plastic, hay and some wood. Aftertaste bitters, spicy, malts, some wood and yeast. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a light creamy texture.

Draft at 2 Amy’s. Beautiful clear ruby maroon color, fluffy white head. Aroma of toasted nuts, port wine. Taste is fruity, nutty and sweet. One of the lease offensive chestnut beers I’ve had.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy amber color, scant head. Aroma of caramel, subtle nut. Pretty plain caramel taste, very sweet. Sono d’accordo con Lorenzo, it needs moore complexity.

Troebele oranje bruine kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt hop, kruiden, fruitig. Smaakt fruitig, hop, kruiden en chocolade.

A lovely looking 0.75l bottle that makes those funky clunky sounds when you pour it. Top score on the sound! It actually has a deep bronze chestnut colored body this, absolutely packed with lots of floaters and sediments, with a nice big really lacing light beige top. The nose is present and it kinda smells like you would imagine it would to be honest. It had some brown sweetness - like brown sugar, wet leafs, some yeast and traces of something slightly sour-ish. Fair enough. It has a nice light oily mouthfeel with a gentle small prickling carbonation level. The taste has chocolate paper with nutty brown candied sugar sweetness. I get again soft yeasty tones here. I was not expecting it to taste like this. It’s actually quite good is. The nuts make a nice appearance towards the finish here. I was expecting another slightly generic, and dare I say boring Italian food-beer, but this was actually a bit interesting. I don’t mind a bit that it’s a large bottle. 09.08.2013

Clear amber colour, white head. Aroma of malts, nuts, quite fruity, light herbal notes. Sweet flavour, chestnut, mint and some nutty notes. Finish liquorice, laurierdrop and brown sugar. Decent brew!
