Bottle @ home. Pours with a medium brown colour, slightly small, diminishing off-white head. Aroma is a bit faint unfortunately, but it’s got the usual belgian notes: bread, herbs, and some yeasty things. Taste is better: medium sweet, slightly bitter, slightly sour, medium salty, balanced and enjoyable. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Overall, a decent Italian take at Belgian beer. sir__v (2629) - FRANCE - OCT 29, 2016
Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep brown beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: caramel malt, fruity explosion. Caramel, and toffee. Small alcohol finish. Taste: medium body with good strong caramel malt balanced with fruity notes. Rich body. Good attenuation. Sweet and bitter. Highly drinkable. Alcohol. Aftertaste: caramel, toffee and yeast with alcohol. Good. Epi91 (20) - Tychy, POLAND - OCT 2, 2016
It had some time spent in a shop, I’ve bought it after 50% discount near the exp. date. But the beer was absolutely amazing, great, rich aroma with some raisins, plums. Apperance was nice also, dark brown in colour with nice head leaving some markings on the glass. In taste there was also a lot of fruitness and very delicate alcohol notes. Rather medium carbonation. Overall, very, very good beer. vonpolski (32) - Borup, DENMARK - JUL 1, 2016
Nice Deep-deepbrown beer with a nice foam, which dissolves to quickly. Good smell of dried fruit and raisin. There is lot of Belgian beer over it, but too weak. A nice beer to drink with a light dinner or sharing with friends or in my case with my wife. Beggard (65) - - JUN 26, 2016
0,75l bottle, Beerlovers Vienna. Malty and honey aroma. Malty, caramel, bourbon, nut and sweet taste. Lasting aftertaste. A bit light for a strong ale.

Freiburg, post Emma Kuckucksrot tasting, nice find and closer. Bref: aspired to be a bodacious Belgian and lands at well-made dry dark ale with grapey sugars. - Pours a lightweight velvet purple brown. Virtually odourless even near room temperature, save some yeast pillow proteins, powder grape sugar vanillas, diciamo. Drinks like an anaemic Gulden Draak, very well and even pleasantly thinned out to its bare bone grape sugar essence, with dry Porto notes. Short finish. Odd superficial, almost postmodernly surface-level cover of a Dark Belgian.
Bottle from Foodshow in Shibuya on sale for ¥400. Pours a deep brown with a small half finger beige head. Caramel, prune, Christmas cake, raisin and oak on the nose with some funky-lite yeast and vinous notes. Taste is slightly sweet with a light yeasty, funk finish. Some floral notes as well. Very vinous and dry finish as it warms. Starts off with a slight cola-like carbonation and mouthfeel. HerrBierkoenig (1455) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 7, 2015
From 0,75l bottle, BBD: 01 2017 Pours deep hazy brown to red liquid, big frothy tan head, Aroma: malty, caramel, Belgian phenol notes, yeasty, Taste: light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter, light to medium sour, yeasty, caramel, toffee, yeasty, phenol notes, spicy, Palate: light body, slick to creamy texture, soft to average carbonation, long caramel yeasty finish, Overall: fine, but not such good, would describe this rather as a dubbel than Belgian Strong ale, quite watery, not much intensive, drunk it, but not realy enjoyed. olsvammel (7226) - Örebro, SWEDEN - SEP 5, 2015
Bottle at Bishops Arms in Örebro. Fruity smell with raisins and roasted sugar. Similar taste. Light and very drinkable, not overly sweet.
