Been a while since I had a spelt beer. This one a very lemony, floral almost wit bier like thing. Feel it should have been a lighter and drier rather than juicier.

Sep. 16. A 0.33 l bottle at La Regina del Formaggio, Split. It poured a hazy golden body with a small head. Nice lemony, orange and peppery aroma with some honey and sweet fruits, rather typical for a good example of the style. Flavor was lightly sweet, honey malty spiced with lemon hops with lot of Belgian yeast fruitiness. Considering the style this is even full bodied, like an ordinary Belgian ale, with longer, sweetish fruity and honey finish. Light lemon hops at the very end emerge again, adding to its charm. Another nice one from this brewery!
Why RB people in average prefer bland saisons instead of tastier ones, not about this example only but generally speaking, remains a mystery to me, smelling of trendy crap.
