tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 18, 2014
Bottle; many thanks to Uncle Kenny - madmitch76. Pours copper-bronze with minimum head. Aroma is Apple; burnt caramalisation; brown sugar. hey, straw, almost iodine-like metallic component, some barely wine characteristics and spruce. Taste is woody; barely; earthy; bubblegum; alcohol; some burning alcohol; cooked vegetables and cough drops. Some coriander and clove from the yeast as well as bubblegum notes. I prefer their RIS over this. The malts are also very sweet and its not really to my taste.

Aroma of biscuity malt, fruits, citrus, yeast, a little spiciness, some hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. An okay Saison, though it could have done with some tartness.

3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 17, 2014
Bottle. Lightly hazed orange with a thin white head. Apple juice and cantaloupe melon nose with cardboard oxidation and subtle chemical / hairspray off-notes, joined later by creeping notes of turnip and radish. Medium-light body, sweet with low carbonation, honey-like syrupiness, dead yeast in the finish. Didnt seem to carbonate well so may have had no chance of holding up.

3.2
Ragnampiza (751) - Rome / Lecce, ITALY - OCT 13, 2014
330 ml bottle at Il Maltese. Dark golden yellow, pretty hazy, with a tiny off white head. On the nose tons and tons of fruit esters (banana, peach, apricot), slightly citrusy as well, just a hint of the alchool. Pretty sweet upfront with notes of honey and brown sugar, moderetaly bitter (again slightly citrusy) and rather herbal as well. Light astringency in the aftertaste. Very soft carbonation, medium body, slightly oily texture. Completely different from a "typical" Saison. Decent and enjoyable overall, but quite forgettable.
