Hazy gold with a billowy white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of cracked wheat, lemon, white pepper, funk and white grapes. Flavor is amazing! Lemon, lactic sourness, grass, tart apple, white grape, sour peach, hay, funky musty basement, grain and some lingering bitterness. Light body with bold carbonation. Dry and refreshing finish. Perfect beer for this hot summer day.

Bottle. Foamy pure white head, hazy light amber orange. Floral, some light spices, light fruits, bit of must, minimal leather, and some slight hoppiness. Flavor is much more sour than aroma suggests, minerally, leather, slight basement notes and funk. Touch acidic. Lighter fluffy body with very vibrant carbonation. Nice stuff.

Birra fantastica molto bella da vedere da annusare, da bere! Va giù che è un piacere, birra estiva perfetto incrocio tra saison e soprattutto cantillon! Dimenticavo acida ma non all’eccesso!

Bottle at alla spina with pat and Sean for Sean’s bday and pats last Saturday on mt Vernon. Tear. Respect. Pours a hazy golden orange body with frothy white head. Aroma is delicious lambic, yeast, sour tart fruit and funk. Mouthfeel is carbonated and dry with notes of dry farmhouse yeast, light spice, light funk, dry citrus.

12.7 oz bottle, purchased at City Beer. Pours a tarnished, golden-bronze color with great head formation: small bubbles, creamy lacing, excellent retention; a beautiful pour. This beer starts and finishes saison, but with vibrant Cantillon lambic shaping the middle. Aroma shows toasted grains, light white pepper, and a dryness met with a cherry-tinged hint of what’s ahead. The flavor shows quite a bit more of the Cantillon character, at least at first: a vibrant, cherry-ish tartness and acidity that soon sits behind that crusty, toasty, beautifully dry saison core that forms the majority of this blend; an excellent saison with a jolt of initial tartness; damn tasty stuff right here. Lasting finish returns to saison land: dry, crusty, peppery, with a lingering huskiness. Yum.

Bottle, bought at Bir&Fud Bottega, Rome. Hazy orange body, big frothy white head. Aroma of grapes, grass, yeast, cherries and bread. Medium body and a lively carbonation. The lambic taste is clear with sour grapes and yeast, but it’s far from as sour as lambics, it’s clearly a saison with lambic, not the other way around. It’s pretty good balanced with maltsweetness, citrus, herbs and oranges, this beer combines saison and lambic in a perfect way. Being a fan of both styles I totally loved it - it was shared with someone who doesn’t like lambic, he loved it too.

Pours a hazy peachy ochre color with a big frothy head that stays around for the length of the beer. On the nose great aromas of strawberry, stonefruit, wet hay and floral touches of lavender and grassy hops. On the palate this beer is a beautiful blend of my two favorite style... saison and lambic ! Yum, all the components are there... rustic round earthy flavors with wild yeasty herbalness from the saison... balanced with bright sour fruit touches of basement funk and amazing lingering lemon summer barnyard notes ! Top Notch

Pour at Scott’s saison tasting, big thanks to Scott for cracking this gem. Hazy orange pour with white head, aroma has notes of funk, lemon, white wine, hints of peach, grape, tart fruits with vanilla, slightly lactic and funky notes as well. Taste is tart lemon and berry, some orange, hints of oak, white grape, touch of peach, hints of funky brett, slight lactic notes, finishing fairly bitter and funky, slight lactic notes.

Der oxidierte Beginn ist hefig-säuerlich und leider etwas muffig. Laff, wenig aromatisch, trocken, mild. Ein recht flaches Bier, vielleicht schon zu alt. 9/7/7/6/11/7

Pours amber with no head. Smells of vinegar and sourness. Good balance of sweet and sour with a salty/bitter finish. Very clean finish, and refreshing.
