Bottled. More or less black colour, with a off-white mediumsized head, that leaves lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild liquorice as well as some toasted notes. Flavour is mild toffee, chocolate, some toasted notes as well as liquorice and a quite rich floral and fruity hop profile. Nice bitterness, and actually the balance is rather ok in this beer.

Draft at Churchkey’s 5th anniversary, courtesy of staff, thank you! Clear dark maroon color, fluffy beige head. Roasty coffee grounds aroma, light pine. Taste is very malty. Taste is OK, but it doesn’t taste anything like any black IPA I’ve ever had before. Off style.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2012
Bottle 75 cl. Pours an almost clear dark orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Lovely citrus aroma with a little sweet roast. Medium body, subtle roast, some licorice and again pleasant. Finishes dry. Very pleasant. 110512
