Cafe, Stockholm. Hazy reddish brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, herbs, some wood and mild notes of nuts. Flavour is nutty, leathery, fruity, some slight sourness as well as some spices and earthy notes.
Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany colour, small beige head. Fruity and nutty, medium to full bodied with soft mouthfeel. Mildly coffeeish with notes of caramel and tobacco. Light ashy salty bitterness. It’s greatest assetts are its soft, creamy mouthfeel and broad spectre of flavours. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 25, 2007
(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Hazy, reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Qite full-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt, accents of raisins and a distinct touch of butter. Some bitterness and some acidity. This ought to be fresh but it for sure ain’t. Pity. 230407

Black color; thin creamy head. A Stout with a nice aroma, creamy, roasted; but the flavor is less impressive, ordinary, even with a very light infection or fermentation problem. Not bad, but could be better. Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 3, 2007
Hazy amber beer with a medium lasting white head. Light hop aroma, malt, spice, flowers and some herb that could be the gentian. Sweet grain dominated flavour with a hint of spice. Absolutely must be cool or "sweet spicy" turns into "cloying and sticky" faroeviking (10911) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAY 1, 2007
Bottle. Pours a nice deep red-brown colour with a creamish light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, toffee, dark fruits and a bit of chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt, toffee, dark fruits, some spices, little liquorice and slight chocolate. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2008
This beer contradicts itself from the beginning pronouncing the ABV to be 9.8 on one label and 6.1 on the other, but judging from the flavour I tend to believe the latter. It’s dark mahogany with a red hue and a low, creamy head. The aroma isn’t very strong, and it has notes of cocoa and roasted malt. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, cocoa, a sourness (like in a beginning infection) and a light bitterness. The overall impression is thin and peculiar.
