Porter aromatised with tobacco.

75 cL bottle (sample). Pours brown-red. Aroma is hard roasted malt and tobacco. Taste is watery and smokey. Rather thin watery finish. I honestly don’t get the tobacco thing but I’m not a smoker.

Bottled. A hazy brown beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of tobacco, malt, and herbs, as well as a slight acidity from roasted malt. The flavor is slightly acidic with notes of roasted malt, and notes like an early morning in a smoky bar. More interesting than really good - probably good for smokers.

[email protected] Cafe, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is tobacco (snus), smoked wet wood and lots of malts. Flaour is leathery, smoked wet wooden, tobaccoish and also has some slight coffee and mild grassyness in the finish. Pleasant. As it gets warmer it gets some slight glueish notes.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Very black with beige creamy head. Fruity aroma with coffee and tobacco. Sweet and light to medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Very fruity - I get more molassess and plums than coffee or other roasty flavours. Drier dusty finish.

Opaque dark brown beer. Softish palate. Tangy rich porter. Great flavour for it’s modest abv. The tobacco seems to add richness and body and are most noticeable in the aftertaste. Finishes soft and tangy. an intriguing porter.

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2007
(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a cloudy, opaque, dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Lightly burned, coffeeish aroma. The body is medium with sweetish, roasted malt notes and then an ashy, burned edge. Very bitter finish deriving from the malt. 220207
