Good beer, floral bouquet, in mouth the start is bitter, but few seconds after, the hop notes are equilibrated with sweet notes and refreshing aftertaste... borre_m (1696) - NORWAY - FEB 14, 2014
This is a collaboration between Italian brewers Birra del Borgo and Americans Dogfish Head. In Norway the version you get is the Birra del Borgo one, and it is one that I have had a few of. This is a continously hopped pilsner at 7.5% ABV.
It pours clear light amber with a creamy white foam. Aroma has lots of floral hops, with pine and grass. The hop aroma is sharp and a reminder that this beer is continuosly hopped.
The first thing that hits when tasting is the agressive hops, the body is light to medium and despite the hops it is easy to drink. My bottle has slight diacetyl, but it is not much and could be intentional for this style. It has a medium dry finish. john44 (3189) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2014
Bottle - BBE date May 2014; Drank Jan 2013 - Clear Orange Gold in colour. Hoppy; floral and perfumed, resiny and spicy (peppery) hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; caramel, honey notes. Initially sweet hoppy fruity soon leading to an increasingly bitter finish. Enjoyed this. Nice Impy Pils! IPAgutten79 (950) - Skui, NORWAY - JAN 25, 2014
330ml bottle from Redmonds. Slightly hazy dark gold pour, bright white head, medium lasting. Big fruity, bright nose, grain, biscuit and perfume hops. Huge flavour, sweet and fruit up front, dry and biscuity in the middle, a rising hop bitterness toward the finish. Really amazing. Medium light body, quite fizzy. Finish is long and complex, lovely balance between dry, slightly sweet grainy malt and fruity, bitter hops.

Intense floral and malt aroma. Lots of bitterness. Pils yeast characteristics present, not balanced per say, but really interesting flavours for an imperial pils. Beermack (725) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2014
33cl bottle. Light gold, big white head. Sweet tropical fruit on the aroma, sugary sherbet, bit of booze and some sweet shortcake. Taste gives sweet mango, melon and orange alongside some slightly more bitter citrus. Shortcake biscuit malt and a bit of slightly harsh booze in there. Lingering bitter citrus and light herbal notes. Very tasty - one of the better hop-forward imperial pils I've tried. Cavie (4760) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Tap at FW Saucer. Pours a clear light golden color with a slight bubbly head. Aroma is just a touch tart but lots of fruitiness and yeast. Flavor is slightly sweet and tart with a crisp fruit and yeast finish. Nice RW80 (2624) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 22, 2013
70 cl bottle, which was shared
Appearance a light Hazzy orange with a good white head.
Aroma: grass and hay, grapefruit, floral hops, some malts and slight bit of yeast.
Taste: Starts of with some mild citrus hops, some bready malts, grass, then goes over in a more fruity bittersweet hoppy finish with some alochol just showing up.. Still keeping everyting nicely in balance and finishing licely smooth.
(slightly above)Medium body,medium carbonation. Caap86 (37) - Rognan, NORWAY - DEC 21, 2013
This is one of the best beers I’ve tasted until now. Full of hop flavour and taste! Pours golden and with a white and sturdy head.
