Imperial Pilser" realizzata con Sam Calagione del birrificio Dogfish Head (USA). Pils, Carapils, Simcoe, Warior, Saaz <nt>

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2010 2010-06-05, RBESG 2010, draught at Open Baladin, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Deep blond color; generous head. Delicate and, at the same time, seducing hop aroma. Good toffee flavor, and malt, rich, with just the required sweetness; strong and aromatic hopping, a bit citrusy. The final is strong and long. A very well balanced and aromatic beer, excellent.

Hazy blond color; medium sized creamy head. The aroma is a bit fruity, resiny, sweet, flowery. Good body strength, toffee and malt flavor, with a very good hopping, sweetish, fruity and resiny, creamy. Really good.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Hazy golden with a dense white head leaving some laces. Fresh, citrusy nose. Surprisingly light-bodied - almost a little watery - sweetish fruit and malt with very fresh hop accents leaving a distinct bitterness. 260309

Good head, white, fully hazy golden beer with verdigris shine. Nice C-hops, obviously USA, dry hopbales. Dry, hoppy, restrained grassy and some lunaria - more IPA really than Pilsener. Fully hop-determined palate, but the finish releases some sweet malts. Medium bodied, typical gristslickness. Good, quite good even, but as said, this has the character of an IPA, rather than a Pilsener. The use of bottom fermenting, and a bit of Saaz won’t change that.

Draught, 7%. Distinctly grassy hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Stable creamy off-white head. The flavour is a quite rough hoppiness, very grassy and quite bitter. There is a little sweetness to balance, and the mouthfeel is OK. The bitterness gets a bit much for me after a while. 5 3 5 3 12

Draught. New sample, different place. The aroma still has some veg, seems to me that something went wrong during hopping. The flavour is better though, nice and caramelly with a distinct but not rough alcohol flavour. 5 3 6 3 14

From tap at Bir and Fud. Pours almost clear golden orange with a lasting and creamy white head. Aroma is peachy, citrusy and grapefruity, solid hoppy. Flavour has the same with a complimenting light caramel malt base. Full bodied. Smooth and flavourfull/bitter finish.

Clear golden with a white fading head. Nose is dominated by hops, with citric, herbal and spicy notes. Not that elegant anyhow, with a cabbage note. Very dry and bitter, resinous, medium bodied.
