Imperial Pilser" realizzata con Sam Calagione del birrificio Dogfish Head (USA). Pils, Carapils, Simcoe, Warior, Saaz <nt>

In short: A pleasant semi-sweet, yeasty, fruity, slightly spicy blonde ale. Good.
How: From a bottle at Mondial De La Bière 2012
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is bright with some kind of spiced mandarine cocktail over a bed of flowers, very aromatic stuff here. Taste is like chewing on a mix bag of dried fruits (dried little orange cubes, dried slices of bananas, dried apricots, more…), some coriander-ish and ginger-ish spiciness, honeyed hay, dusty yeast, grassy and floral hops. Strong yeast presence. Yellowed grass in the finish almost dry out the beer. Pleasant big fluffy mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. A bit too sweet for my dryness-seeking palate but I found it nonetheless enjoyable. Got a generous 6oz sample and can easily imagine myself drinking a lot more of this. Another beer I had at Mondial 2012, I was using all my lunch breaks from work every day to go to Mondial and drink beer instead of having lunch, but don’t you dare calling people like me a drunk (us drunks really hate that).

Flaska från SB. Tack Daniel! Gyllengul, rejält disig, hög bestående skumluva. Snyggt!

Tap at 100 piv. Slightly oxidized kind of like in a barley wine - sherry, dried fruits. Otherwise relatively subtle pilsnery character, light grassy hops, light caramelly maltiness. Weird combo in a pilsner, but it kind of works. Not very much for me, but for someone surely. Good.

Dec. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle at Regina del Formaggio, Split. It poured a hazy full yellow body with medium to bigger head. Pine, citrus and pepper aroma, not too modern for its own good. Fine biscuit malt behind. Flavor was bitter, lightly sour hoppy, mostly lemon, pepper, grass with complex biscuit malt base which exploded into secondary fruity flavors such as dried fruit and something toasted like caramel to cocoa. Full bodied with moderate, sharply bitter hoppy over bread, fruit and biscuit malty finish. Lightly and pleasantly warming. Beautiful strong pils indeed.

Pours cloudy golden, with a big foamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is delicate and floral, with citrus notes and spices. Tastes very hoppy above the pils malts, strong notes of lemon, grapefruit, floral, pine and resin. Crisp and refreshing, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, lively, bitter finish. Nice summer beer.
