jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2006
Bottled, UDRBG, label says 5.5% ABV. Aroma is nice, berries, coffee and grians. Ruby color, beige creamy head, good lace. Light sweet coffee, roasted. Towards the finish more complex flavors, some berries, softer bitterness. Rather full for a porter.

Dutch Ratebeer Meeting. Very classy bottle. Very dark with yeast particles, brown head. Oatmeal, malt, bread and berries in aroma. Delicate soft flavour which is initially very bitter, but subsequently evolves to be more complex. Very nice brew.

[email protected] Øldage. Quite a soft porter. Some berry fruit and roasted malt notes, light mocha roastyness. Some caramelly sweetness, but remains dry for the most part.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2006
(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a very dark brown with a small, creamy, beige head. Lightly burned malt aroma. Medium body with burned malty accents and then a hard to describe fruity tang that somehow appears misplaced. A bitter finish from the malts. 110806

(on bottle) Brown and beige head. Tad smokey aroma, along with some pea? Light carbonation and a taste of finish sweet lqourice. Ends bready. Very full for a porter.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2007 Bottle, 5.5%. Quite malty and slightly sweet aroma. Cloudy, almost black colour, small brown head. Sweet liquorice flavour, a bit thin, slightly hop aromatic. Thin mouthfeel too. Not very interesting. 6 3 6 3 11

Draught at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, Rome. Slightly hoppy aroma. Black colour, small head. The flavour is also hoppy, with a little yeast and cardboard, but still good. Liquorice mouthfeel. 7 3 6 3 14

Bottle. Brown high creamy and lasting head. Black body. Coffee hops aroma. Weak flavor with nothing more than some bitterness at the end.

madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2006
Bottled @ KØ 2006: Dark brown coloured. Small brown head. Aroma is roasty and sweet with some fruity notes. Quite vague IMO. Flavour is dominated by a sharp roast. Some sweetness to balance. Light notes of coffee and liqourice. Thin bodied and light watery. Ends on a light dry and light roasted bitterness.
