Aged bottle. Turbid gold pour with white head. Nose was fruity hop, citrus, malt. Complex flavor with smooth finish.

Bottled (0,75 l): Intensive hoopy nose, big notes of resiny hops, aroma hops, citrus. Pale amber color, creamy off white head with good lacing. Light sweet, malty base with a very hoppy taste. Notes of resin, citrus, grapefruits and fir needles. Very well balanced, not too bitter finish. Great.

“Flirting with madness was one thing; when madness started flirting back, it was time to call the whole thing off.” ― Rohinton Mistry, A Fine Balance Don’t call this off, this is a fine balance, and there’s nothing wrong with a bit of madness.

HonusWagner (2248) - Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2012
Solid pale ale for cask, a nice fruity flavor with some spice notes. A bit of phenolic yeast character. Overall, a surprisingly un-italian beer from Italy.

Draft at the Birch. Reddish amber with a head that’s thin but thick at the same time ... meaning, thin but solid. Big time hoppy aroma wafts off this one ... perhaps one of the fullest I’ve ever experienced. But this drinks with a big malty base, and an almost sour essence. If forced to label this, I’d say "schizophrenic" -- it certainly is a multi-layered surprise. (#4459, 1/29/2012)

Got this cheap at The Grove Huddersfield. Clear rich mid brown colour. Thin lasting beige head. Sweetish hoppy aroma. Some toffee. Not exactly fresh but some of the hops hold up to give some tropical fruit. Some toffee in middle some more arch tropical fruit on finish. Fine if a little tired. Touch of cheese on the finish.

Pours golden with a thick white head and some lace. Aroma is of hops, citrus and a little alcohol. Very smooth with lots of hops, awesome after-taste, perfect IPA in that it’s focused on the hops.
