I should’ve stopped my pour sooner, because I ended up with a bunch of sludge at the bottom of the glass and many a partcle flaoating about. No head to speak of, just a few clusters of bubbles. It smelled of overly honeyed green tea with butter and some cabbage in it. That pretty well describes the flavor, alas, as well. Dry finish. The best part. 2008 Bottle - Pours an opaque tan, little head, bitter aroma with slight tea, taste is utterly bland, slightly sours and with the slightest nuance of tea flavour. When I went back for the bottom third, all the yeast mud went into my glass, which was okay because apparently that is where the flavour hides. Even so, after paying $8, I felt like I was bent over.... DandyWolfFloyd (1212) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 4, 2014
Aroma -the aroma is light and it’s probably supposed to be. It is sort of the only thing going on at all. It has a little floral, honey, barnyard yeast about it.
Appearance - the body color is a orange-yellowish color, the liquid very cloudy with bits of sediment present. There was no real head to speak of, and the little bit there is a super tiny halo (white)
Taste - the taste is slightly sour, very light at that. There is a slight tang to it.
Palate - the body is light, the texture thin, the carbonation is average in the mouth, and the finish short sort of tanginess.
This beer was a real let down. Nothing going on here, wish I could report more, just wasn’t there.
