Bottle at yespr.
Hazy orange coloured with a medium sized off-white head.
Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and spices with notes of yeast.
Fruity flavour of caramel and spices with notes of berries and hops.
Aroma: grain, caramel malts, straw and dust. Appearance: slightly hazy, medium, creamy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters continue, some citric acid, zest, sweet malts, grain, light caramel. Overall: interesting aroma, bit of a let down in the plate. Bottle from the brewery, Stabio. ogivlado (8316) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 2, 2015
Bottled 330ml. -Trade with CH-303 (thanks Asbjorn!) as La Ego. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized white head, alcohol with some fruity touch in the nose. Sweet malty, alcohol, grapes and apples with cheap sparkling wine notes. Also mild nutty notes in the finish. So-so. Marko (6274) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 27, 2015
Thanks Ogi! Darker golden/amber, slightly misty body, small white head. Smells like, well, wine, cheaper wine, white more than black. Vaguely caramelly too. Fizzy, meaty, bit appley. It’s OK enough, again, cheap wine. Well, if you want beer that tastes like very very cheap homemade wine, this is your pick. Mind you, this is quite unique in its own way and I’m damn glad to have tried it. A vague fruitiness, an even more vague tartness save it from utter mediocrity. It’s still not a particularly good beer though. bastarda (506) - Freiburg, GERMANY - SEP 27, 2015
A whole bunch of aromas - canned tangerine, lemon marmelade, white grapes, when warming dark grapejuice morphing into raisin, dried dark fruits and sherry notes - narrowed down to a taste of diluted dry sherry and some alcoholic whiffs on a sourdoughy lemonish fizz. Must gain its abv from a whole lot of sugar and shouldn’t be characterized as barley wine. Unique brew nevertheless. SinH4 (6553) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2015
At Craft Bier Festival Rapperswil. Pink-red color with white head. Aroma of bananas, dough, yeasty. Taste is more bananas, some grapes maybe, silky mouthfeel. It’s okay, but nothing special. Very balanced. Reminds me of a Hefeweizen a bit.

Tap at CBF. Banana and yeast aromas, very smooth and dry. And you don’t feel the high booze at all. alex_leit (5246) - Minsk, BELARUS - FEB 11, 2015
Bottle. Yellow-amber color, aroma wine, plum (yellow plum), champagne, candy, a little perfume. Taste: malt and fruity, sweet, pears, strawberries, white wine, maple syrup or honey, apple. crlnts (401) - SWITZERLAND - SEP 21, 2014
Definitely not a barley wine. Mix between a vin de dessert and a home-brew, but more on the wine side. Soft carbonation. Golden hazy. zztopt5 (13) - fonzaso, ITALY - SEP 1, 2014
L insieme è particolare ma il risultato non è al livello di altre birre prodotte da questo birrificio. L acidità è gradevole ma manca di persistenza nei profumi e nei sapori. Sissio (1783) - Orsenigo, ITALY - MAY 28, 2014
Slightly hazy pale golden, minimal cream head. Alcohol, a mixture of prosecco and mature apple, sweetish with a hoppy note. Quite hollow taste, light malts, yeast, a hint of passito wine and wine-like sparkling. Strange and left somewhere in the middle of something.
