COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

14-Jul-06 (12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Hmm, you know, this really isn’t that bad. I was expecting swill, but it’s a relatively inoffensive pale lager with a mild grain and corn maltiness and a very gentle bitterness. It’s only lightly sweet, which is also keeps the "swill factor" down. Body is light, of course, and it’s clean and nicely carbonated on the palate. Grainy, grassy nose. Golden straw in color and perfectly clear, the beer is capped by about half an inch of white foam that gradually settles to a wide ring. Of the mass-produced European lagers imported into the U.S., Birra Moretti is most definitely drinkable, and it remains drinkable even when it warms up a bit.

June 2005 - At the local Italian eatery, it was this or Yuengling. What can I say? It looked and tasted like an american macro. Next time, I’ll get water or iced tea. Oddly enough, they served it to me in a Newcastle glass...but had no Newcastle to offer (and the server didn’t remember them ever serving Newcastle). How odd is that?

Draft. nice to see other countries can make a pale lager as bad as the USA! Mine was slightly skunky and not terribly good. Clear, gold color with lively carb. The head was not laced very tightly and quickly disappeared. The flavor was, for me, very slight with poor mouth feel and no lasting effect. Can’t recommend.

Bottle. Pretty standard lager in most respects. Interesting bit of hop for a lager. Very drinkable.

Ah pretty boring stuff. Just antoher lager from another country. Pretty much the same as 90% of lagers out there. I drank it for free at a fancy pants party though, so i cant complain to much!

Bright gold appearance with a medium size white head and scant lacing. Vegetal, grainy malt aroma. Crisp, clean flavors, decently carbonated. Bland, watery palate with a short lived finish. Like countless other homogeneous pale lagers with nothing to differentiate it.

330 ml bottle.Pale golden body with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity and weak malty. Flavor is fruity, gives almost an impression of some apple cider/beer mix. Some bitterness, a bit sour and metallic. Watery and dull.

Smells is watery, but fresh, with slight honey and hay. Pours pale gold, with medium to high carbonation with some head. Tastes watery, with slight grain, minimal honey. Not terrible, and very inoffensive.
