Birra Moretti is a genuine beer produced using a traditional process that has remained almost unchanged since 1859. To produce Birra Moretti, only the highest quality raw materials are used and a particular mixture of valuable hops, that gives the beer its aroma and unique fragrance, intensifying the slight bitter flavour. It is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

Faint malty scent. Moretti lacks flavor; its flat, overly carbonated, and has a faint grainy taste. Its refreshing and drinkable, but I wouldnt see myself getting a six-pack of this, but probably a single bottle. Hey, its better than U.S. Bud.

Poured golden with minor carbonation and decent white head and lace. Euroskunk aroma. In the mouth has a carboard and buscuits sort of snap to it followed by a bitter finish. Brisk, thats the word I will use.

bottle - Yawn. Its yet another watery, mostly tasteless pale lager. As others have already mentioned, the aroma is of grain, skunk, and a bit of hops. The flavor is a thin, watered down malt something or other with a bit of hops noticeable. Its somewhat refreshing and not terribly offensive, except for the fact that the price includes import tax for more of the same boring, watery beer that pervades U.S. macrobrews already.

Pours golden yellow with white head that fades quickly. Aroma of grains, skunk and some weak hops. Flavor is more or less a watered down version of the aroma. Crisp finish. Not as offending as other beers in this category.

On tap at Giuseppes in New Brighton, MN. Pretty, bubbly light gold with a small, creamy, lasting white head. The aroma is very interesting, very pleasant bread dough and other yeasty character. The flavor falls flat though: a standard pale lager with way too much DMS (in addition to some sweet maltiness) and a long, flat bitter finish with a definite metallic note. Palate is lively, crisp, very refreshing. If the flavor lived up to the aroma this could be a good beer, but as it is its not much to speak of.
