750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.5%. Deep golden to amber colour. moderate white head. Pleasant malty and fruity aroma, notes of caramelized orange marmalade, hints of mild spices. The flavour is medium sweet, malty and spicy with notes of caramel. Decent hops in the finish. The alcohol is noticeable, but not disturbing. Quite enjoyable. Bottle (75cl) from Vinmonopolet (Oslo). Slightly hazy golden/amber colour, tiny particles floating. Inch-thick white fluffy head, quite good retention, settles as a thick bubbly layer with a band of lacing. Typical Belgian ale aroma with sweet ripe fruit, yeast, caramel, bitter orange marmalade, resin. Refreshing, slightly watery mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is bitter-sweet and fruity, with dusty malt, very well-balanced. Lasting, dusty-fruity aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a well-behaved head. Complex spicy and yeasty aroma, very Belgian in style. Follows up in the mouth with well-balanced fruity spiciness that is very drinkable. No revolutionary beer, but impressive craftmanship. Foffern (1876) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAY 28, 2012
Bottle shared with (and courtasy of) ClubGonzo and Inbreak. Has a cloudy orange colour with a medium off-white head. The aroma is filled with spices, coriander and rosemary, herbs, hay, sweet fruits and some belgian yeast. Sweet is also the flavour with more belgian fruity yeast, spices and banana. Bitterness = light+. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. A well-balanced beer with a lovely spicy touch.
