Keg at Orzobruno, Pisa. Hazy amber body with an off-white head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of caramel, red apple and a faint bubblegum note. Flavour of apple, mushy pear and yeast. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. A decent beer, if a bit thin. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 21, 2014
Cloudy brown, yeasty, bubblegummy aroma. The taste is yeasty and some biscuity malts help cover it up. Deu (948) - Nantes, FRANCE - MAR 28, 2013
On tap in a bar/restaurant in Rome. Dark ruby with laced beige head served in a beautiful mug in china. Aroma and flavour of biscuity malt, fruit, caramel and spice. Caramel sweetness lingers and the alcohol shows through. A little rough at this point. ratcav (2) - Pontedera, ITALY - AUG 2, 2012 does not count

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2009 Plastic cup of takeout from Orzo Bruno reeling tipsily around the streets of Pisa. Murky ruby with a collapsing halo. Lush dubbel-esque aroma of ripe plum and brown sugar; some boozy banana and coconut tropical esters milling about. Thick medicinal mouth with bags of sweetness, but not overdone; balancing hop with savoury orange and juniper freshness like a Belgian blond, or Tripel even. Goldings, Poperinge, pinch of spice? Strange and lovely balance, milkshake thick and luxurious. Grenadine and dry roasted nut hints kicking in as it warms. Very cheeky little sipper sliding down sweetly with a dusting of Belgian devilry.
