Tap @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki, Sori Mega Tap-takeover for taproom's 1st anniversary. Pours lightly hazy yellow, quite flat and notmuch carboration there. Nose is sour and acidic, lots of wild yeasts have been eating this brew. Nice funky overall character but with some touch of juniper. Taste reveals some more sourness - and also the complexity of this brew. Light sea buckthorn, also some juniper resins and light bite of ginger coming through this general tartness. Bone-dry and a bit woody, light-bodied and refreshing. Quite interesting beer, I am quite happy that I got a taste of it from what is probably one of the last (if not THE last) kegs in existence. Top notch sour if you ask me, looks like some ageing has really improved it.

Tap (TCBW2016) (5+:2:5-:2:9=2.3)
Oh, please god, not another chuck-in-a-lacto-cube mess. Pale, hazy. Pleasantly sour fruity aroma, some apricot. Watery palate. Some herbs - rosemary. Lacto-dominated body. Pretty dull, not refreshing. My respect for the Sori guys has just plummetted, I can’t believe they sanctioned the use of the word "sahti" anywhere in connection with this has-absolutely-nothing-in-common-with-sahti mess.

Tap sample at Tallinn Craft Beer Festival. Beautiful bright hazy yellow woth small head. Whitecurrant acidic, refreshing and not too sour. Again, lovely idea and kind of alright but somewhat disappointing too.

Marduk (8849) - Reval, ESTONIA - APR 8, 2016
Tap @TCBW 2016. Hazy pale yellow color. Small size, white head, stays. Lemon, citrus, sour, bit chalky in aroma. Floral hops, lemon juice, hay, some yeast and minerals in taste. Dry hard minerals and acidic mouthfeel. Not my cup of sour.
