Bottle - 330ml. Nice dark copper body with a decent beige foamy head. Its sharp hoppy aroma carries malty, fruity, and yeasty hints. Taste is well balanced and hides the alcohol pretty well. Brown color with a large white head. Spicy malty aroma with some, caramel and brown sugar. Malty, caramel, with citrus notes in the flavor with a nice bitterness finish.

Bottled sample via boutip. Ruby brown in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of red wine, caramel, red apple, and spicy Belgian yeast. Acidic red fruit flavors dominate the palate, and are backed by minerals, toasted malt, pale malt, and magic marker. Medium bodied, but the tartness and slightly fizzy carbonation make it feel a bit lighter on the palate. (Bottle, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu) Poured dark brown and cloudy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma contained intially malts and molasses and after the beer had warmed up a bit the aroma was dominated by paint thinner. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, paint thinner, raisin, mild roastedness, boiled vegetables and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. 11.2 bottle from Oak Tree. Pours hazy ruddy with a 3 finger off-white/beige head. Aromas of dark fruit resembling date/raisin and some warm caramel. Near medium body with rather spritely/fizzy carbonation. It’s a little herby, a little oaky, and lightly bitter. It actually suddenly gets pretty bitter. A different beer - as so many of these Italian crafts are. Takes getting aclimated to. Definitely worth the experience. Wonder if there are chestnuts? Suddenly it comes to me that it’s a little sour.
