330ml brown bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Brown pour, some haze. Nicely formed beige head, creamy edges, good stickiness. Spicy nose, caramel, some chocolate malt, nutty, hints of fruit. Taste has chocoalte and nutty malt notes, cherries and assorted fruits. Dries right out at the end, late yeasty notes. Carbonation is on the high side, body is medium. The alcohol stays well hidden. Overall a drinkable Belgian ale, but nothing I would seek out again.
Rating #2767 - 2016.08.28 - Bottle from CBI. Aroma of demerara sugar, candied raisins, cocoa powder. Pours a murky brown with an off-white head. Flavours of brown sugar, raisin, allspice come through - smooth finish. Lovely beer. vinivini (3147) - Gomel, BELARUS - NOV 6, 2017
Bottled. Pours foggy brown with modest off-white head. Aroma: strong malts of caramel, toffee, sourish yeastiness, dried fruit, candied sugar. Medium body. Soft carbonation. The taste is initially richly malty and lightly sweet. Fruity & spicy middle. The ending is pretty tart with malt toastiness and light hoppiness. Interesting. L_Lovecraft (744) - - FEB 4, 2017
Caramel, dried fruits, dark fruits like plum, raisin, notes of alcohol, brown with a thin head, medium body, carbonation is soft, again dark fruits, sweet and quite warming...good but not one of my favorite. Korcz (3388) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 24, 2016
Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Przyjemny alkohol, rodzynki w rumie, cukier trzcinowy i intrygujący, lekko kwaskowaty finisz. Elegancki, wysokiej klasy quadrupel. TH28 (488) - - OCT 29, 2016
330ml bottle. No noticeable production dating. Appearance: Dark brown with a touch of ruby red, murky, with minimal khaki colored head that disappears immediately.
Aroma: Malty, mostly toasted malt with a touch of caramel. Light sugary dark fruit, most noticeably plum.
Taste: Rich malt sweetness, with toasted bread and caramel notes. Dark fruitiness shows up on the back of the palate, plum and prune like with a lot of residual sugar. A lot of sweetness on the swallow.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation and a light alcohol warmth that is smooth.
Finish: Finishes with plum fruit and sugar. Some toasted malt retronasally.
Overall: A solid quad, noticeable lower in intensity and easier drinking than the more renowned versions. Maltiness is noticeably toasty, and the fruitiness is restrained. While this may not rate up with the best quads, I prefer it’s overall balance and drinkability to most.

Bottle - Raisin, dark sugars and some cocoa. Dirty brown with a rich beige head. Cocoa, dark malts, light oxidization and light raisin. Flavours are a little less pronounced than the nose would suggest. alexsdad06 (11223) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 12, 2016
Bottle from old notes. Pours a dark reddish color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, dark fruits, caramel, light roast, fruit skins, candi sugar, Belgian yeast, decent. Hopverdju (1644) - BELGIUM - APR 27, 2016

Ambrata, schiumosa, caramellata, fruttata. Classico esempio di stile belga con note di lievito, uvetta e nocciole. Finale piacevole e non attaccaticcio.
