COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Lett mintaroma. Smaken stikkelsbær & karamell. Litt jul her også.

Rune (13643) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2017
Big 750ml bottle shared with Odd, Finn, Egil Børge and Leif. A dense, remaining off-white head over a cloudy ruby coloured body. Spotty lacing. Moderate aromas of caramel, earth and dark fruits. Dark fruity flavours joined by liquorice and spices. Mid-sweet malt-fruity finish. Rounded mouth feels. Satisfying yuletide feel.(Tasting of Christmas beers, Tromsø 18.11.2017).

750ml bottle as 9% abv (thanks FatPhil). Clear dark amber color. Medium size, tan-beige head, stays. Sweet, cinnamon, clove, Christmas spices in aroma. Sweet, alcohol, caramel and Christmas spices in taste. Christmas feel all over the brew. Weird brew.

Juks (1106) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 11, 2017
750ml bottle (9% abv), thanks FatPhil. Pours clear brown, no head. Aroma is tart, fruity, spicy, lots of christmas spices. Taste is spicy, malty, woody, sweet. Medium bodied, average carbo. Drinkable but weird as italians.

Bottle, 9% abv, bb 01.12.2017 (thanks fatphil). Pours dark amber. Aroma is sweet, sour, candy, medicinal, spices. Flavor is sweet, spices, malt, sugsr. Overall: drinkable, this is not sour (sour red brown) this is spice beer, or Belgian strong ale (if you go by the base beer).

suurjuust (3806) - ESTONIA - NOV 11, 2017
750ml bottle shared by Phil, thanks! 9% ABV'. Red copper beer, small head. Nose is spice, mainly clove, fruit, malt, alcohol. Flavor is cloves and malt, more spice notes. Not sure I'm rating the correct one, this is a spiced beer, not a sour beer. Lots of clove.

Rask0lnikov (1513) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 15, 2017
750ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy, reddish, pale brown colour. Thin white head. Liqourice, herbal notes, bread, slight caramel, sourness in the aroma. Caramel at first. Notes of bread. Liqourice and herbs in the middle. Notes of liqeurice, caramel and candy sugar in the end. Slight sourness and liqourice in the aftertaste. Rather medium bodied, bit sweet, moderately carbonated, descent brew. Too sweet for my taste and overall bit boring.

Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 1, 2016
330 ml bottle, 2014 vintage. Clear red copper, mostly fading off-white foam. Fruity tart oaky aroma. Taste is sour fruity, woody, earthy, moderately malty and yeasty. Softer carbonation, medium bodied, low hopped. Nice quencher. NFL (Not for Lagerboys)

Foffern (1983) - Bodø, NORWAY - DEC 29, 2015
Bottle at home. One year old. Has a slightly hazy reddish brown color with a small beige head. Aroma of oak, dried fruit, vinegar, leather, heather, licorice and some alcohol. The flavor is similar but with more anise, oak, leather and heather. Has a silky mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A nice sweet and sour ale with a pleasant touch of spices.
