24 months in amarone - so how is this different from the amarone version of the beer? Clearly lots of barrel has been here. Some tartness accompanies that. Taste is thin. Wood. Tannins in the finish are quite nutty. Wineyness very present, but also quite pleasant.
330ml bottle (thanks martjoobolut). Riserva 2013, 24 months in Amarone casks. Muddy brown color. No head. Sweet, caramel, alcohol, raisins, toffee in aroma. Sourish, plums, alcohol and woody in taste. Alcohol and woody prunes in aftertaste. Walnuts too. Kind of covers alcohol. Solid brew. suurjuust (4057) - ESTONIA - MAR 2, 2018
330ml bottle, Riserva 2013, shared by Mart, thanks! Brown beer, looks flat, almost no head. Nose is barrely, sweet, oak, vanilla, plums, tobacco, sugar. Flavor is red wine, vanilla, toasty notes, dry notes in the finish, grapes. Not quite for me, but not bad. martjoobolut (5676) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 2, 2018
Bottle (as Riserva 2013, 24 mesi in botti di Amarone). Pours dark brown. Aroma is very sweet, bread, malt, booze. Flavor is sour, sweet, bitter, oak, bread, malt. Finish is malty and boozy. Overall: ok, feels like too much time in barrel. Mortlach (2539) - Rome, ITALY - APR 4, 2017
On tap @Open Baladin (Rome). Ramata intensa, scura, con riflessi rossicci, schiuma assente. Al naso alcol, solvente, vaniglia, frutta rossa sotto spirito. In bocca è molto spigolosa, etilica, vinosa, dolce, poco equilibrata, manca di identità e spessore. Corpo pieno, carbonazione soft. Pessima.

Pours clear amber with almost no head. Riserva of 2010, opened in 2017. Huge scent of cherries poured out of the bottle. Overwhelming, but pleasant. Aroma is clear cherries, porto tones, dark chocolate, ripe dark fruits, plums, caramel toffees... Oof... Incredible and divine nose. Tastewise almost undescribably tasty. It is smoothly sweet with clear tones of cherries, chocolate, oak wood, raisins, and red wine. Perfectly balanced and with a tremendous complexity. Full bodied, thick and slightly oily mouthfeel, flat carbonation. True sipper, drink it with care and enjoy. A true gem and a God-like brew if you ask me. Iznogud (5106) - CROATIA - DEC 14, 2016
On tap at Beertemple, Amsterdam. Pours amberish brown with small off-white head. Malty, caramel, dried fruit, some wooden notes, plums, raisins. Quite sweet, sticky, warming. Not that easy to drink. Medium to full bodied. Korcz (3388) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 24, 2016
Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer. Suszone figi i rodzynki, podlane słodkim winem. Mniam. ippopotamo36 (2759) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 1, 2016
Tap at Open Baladin in Rome-Italy, with Mortlach and daniele. Tobacco leaf color quite dark, no foam. Nose: alcohol, sweet notes (extra sweet) of molasses mixed with alcohol. Not very nice imho. Mouth: tart, woody notes, a chili nice finish.
