A special one time creation that truly lives up to its name. The base is a Stout brewed with hot chili peppers that has been aged for almost 2 years with blueberries & pediococcus. It is opaque black in color in with just a touch of carbonation. Quite acidic & tart along with very intense flavors and aromas. This nightmare is sure to leave a lasting memory.

Tap @ Bishops Folkis. Ugly blackish brown with no head. Horrible nail pollish aroma with some vinegar and black fruits behind. Very sticky and aggressively acidic flavour with balsamico, vinegar, salty dark fruit jam and nail pollish. Yeuch... Big sticky hot body no carbonation. Horrible beer.

Pours a dark purple .. . Mild foam .. . Slice of bread? Heaven? .. . Lots of balsamic vinegar, leather, plum skin, and some wet dog on the end .. . Decent but sharp .. . . Munsoned? What the hell is that?!

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Black with light tan head. Aromas of tart berries, dark fruit, light whiskey. Tastes of tart acidic notes, vinegar, berries, dark fruit, grapes, mouth puckering sour notes. Light body with a dry finish.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a small, beige head. Aroma of acetone and not much else. Flavor more like a stout aged in barrels with berries and peppers. Average texture. A weird beer.

Pours a very dark purple with no head of foam or lacing. I get sourness from the blueberries and light heat from the chilies in the smell. The tart blueberries are very tasty up front; then the taste and heat from the chilies move in and mess up the good thing going on. My opinion only of course. No carbonation but thats not the problem with this brew. I have already mentioned what bugs me.

Serving: bottle. It pours a very dark brown with some loose bubbles that quickly settle to nothing. Unusual funky blueberry, roasted malt, and a little vinegar. The flavor is mix of sour, blueberry bubble gum, balsamic vinegar, alcohol, and a little varnish. Very, very odd. I cant say this works well together. Glad this bottle was shared because several ounces is more than enough.

My Bottom Line:
Balsamic vinegar takes the reigns here, with dark chocolate, blueberries and roastiness in tow, leading to an eye-stinging sourness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the blackness.
-Drinkability is obviously very low, but this is still a compelling brew.
-Pediococcus is lost within the acetobacteria. Which is fine by me.
-The mouthfeel remains smooth, not intensely dry.
-Alcohol is not felt at all.
-This would have benefited from some blending, methinks

On tap at Lortica, Bologna.

(750ml bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chili peppers, blueberries, and pedio. Flavor of blueberries, vinous, oil, chilies, pedio, dried cherries, and cocoa.
