Buonissima questa saison, fresca, beverina, speziata, una interpretazione magistrale. 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2012
bottle, bbd March 2013. mostly clear gold, sparkling, with a billowy white head. the nose is ever-changing and captivating: lemon juice, lemon oil, sweet banana, tulips, ginger, chamomile, white pepper, calcium and more. the chamomile is probably the most stable of aromas in this, and it becomes more difficult to get past as time goes on, but it’s a minor complaint here, because the nose is pretty outstanding in both complexity and presentation. body has distinct roundness and fullness, I’m guessing from the oats and wheat; texture is creamy and smooth; bitterness is moderate to high; wheat tartness and oat fullness present as well. it’s very rustic and old world, they nailed the yeast character perfectly. the spices (bell pepper? are you sure that’s not a mistranslation?) are kept quiet other than the chamomile. delicious, delicate, soft nose combined with surprising heft on the palate, we have a winner here.
Birra giallo dorato opalescente. Schiuma bianca fine persistente. Aroma intenso speziato, zenzero e pepe verde, frumento, floreale . Gusto secco speziato (pepe e zenzero in evidenza) erbaceo, ricorda la camomilla in fiore, acidula. Poco amara.

Cloudy orange color; creamy head leaving a nice lace. It has a nice aroma of Goldings or other British hops, and cereals. Good mouthfeel, soft, with some malt flavor; it shows also a powerful and quite aromatic hopping; the spices can’t be detected (which is good for me). A very good English Golden Ale.
UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Hazy orange colour, massive creamy head. Lovery aroma of orange, coriander and cinnamon. Fairly dry, juic and fruity. Light and fresh with rounded spritzy mouthfeel. Lovely complex flavour with everything from dough to orange jam and bitter herbs. Long herbal bitterness. Perhaps the juicy flavour dies a bit early, but it has remarkable qualities! kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - JUN 1, 2008
Draft @ Rustico. Pours a hazy, straw-orange color; beautiful, textured and creamy off-white head with excellent retention and lacing that coats the glass; gorgeous, impressive pour. Pleasant amounts of honey, candied fruits, and light soft spicing (ginger? chamomile?); very nice nose. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy candy sugar, candied ginger, and floral notes, coupled with a very soft, creamy texture; appropriate, soft levels of spicing and chewy, floral-driven nuttiness; tasty, tasty stuff. Very nicely dry finish: breadiness, candy, and soft toastiness; excellent, crisp end. Lumpy (1802) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2009
Bottle. Body-hazy gold with a quarter inch foamy head. Nose-coriander, ginger, pool water, spiky and peppery. Taste-white pepper, flowers, potpourri, basic (OH-) mouthfeel, herbaceous, basil, a little oregano, starchy. A very gentle, clean mild but well spiced Saison.
