COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a variation of SALLY BROWN and a result of the collaboration with Torrefazione Baracco in Parma. The nose is notably marked by coffee aromas from the high elevations of the Equatorial regions. Fragrant malt roasts harmoniously mingle with coffee exotic aromas. The mouth has a velvety body with hints of caramel, cappuccino and smoked flavor. To all those crafts men like us who daily embody their passion by creating something unique.

I have always loved good coffee, particularly Arabica, because it evokes its long mastered roasting tradition in a few enduring sips. Conventional coffee on the other hand, is spoiled by the use of Robusta beans and the excessive over roasting.
Meeting Alberto was definitely a stroke of good luck. We became friends and I ended up developing a deep appreciation for his coffee. Together we created a coffee blend that would match my beer’s aroma. Although this coffee-stout experiment started as a game, it turned out to be quite successful.

Dark nutty brown pour with a fizzling and fast dissipating light beige head. Rich nutty and coffee loaded nose with a touch of roast malt. The flavor falls a little short of the goodness of the nose, as it has just some average brown malty tones on a semi-dry finish, barely any coffee. Lingering cocoa but it’s a bit light and spritzy.

330 ml. no bottling date evident. Deep brown-black body sustains a creamy thin disc of foam. Aroma is dark bread, chocolate, caramel and coffee. flavors of caramel cola, coffee and toast. Finish has a cocoa touch that develops some char, blackberry and espresso in the long aftertaste. Well balanced, light-medium body is watery and soft with low carbonation

I didn’t like this one at all, then again; I mostly don’t like anything with coffee flavor except coffee.

DLUO dépassée d’un an.

Pitch black with a small cream coloured ring of lacing. Aroma is bursting with coffee and tobacco with some malts and brown sugar. The flavour is nice with a lot of coffee bitterness, almost like you’re drinking cold coffee, not as good as the aroma promises but still a very nice flavour. The mouthfeel/palate is unfortunately a bit of a disappointment as it is very watery.

Brown color with tan head. Tobacco, coffee, chocolate, red wine, fruity. Nice low-carbonated ticklish mouthfeel. Absolutely beautiful and fruity for a coffee beer.

Bottled 330ml. -from Losfuso Torino. Dark brown coloured, no head or carbonation at all, pure coffee nose. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and touch of tobacco with again bitter coffee finish. Rather watery. Expected much better beer. Pitty.

Black, no head. Smells like red wine and coffee, big surprise. Taste is pretty much the same - red wine and smooth coffee flavors. Nicely rich, too. I liked it.

Bottle. Coffe comour. Big head. Aroma of moka, roasted and toasted malt. Flavour of coffee chocolate. Good roasted finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle with the expiration date of december 2013. Bit in doubts about how it was stored, however it poured out very well in the glass. Black like a bulls ass with a quick disappearing off-white head. Some lacing visible. So, nothing to complain yet. Quite good. Strong coffee aroma with clear amaretto notes escape from the bottle with a powerful kick. Nutty as well, some burned brown sugars, caramel and dark chocolate. Good one. Taste is much in line with its aroma. Yet, it taste less sweet than it smells. Good coffee flavor with soft sweet notes of the sugar, nuts and the chocolate in the beginning. Nice soft roastiness as well in the middle with a bit of a smokey kick, evolving to a soft bitterish, somewhat tarty (and thus a bit disappointing) end. Not bad, but I have had better coffee-based beers. Texture is a bit oily, medium bodied with still a quite lively carbonation. In general I am somewhat surprised about this brew. It is pretty well brewed, yet it has some of it misses and is not that refined. Needs a rerate with another bottle asap.
