This beer is a variation of SALLY BROWN and a result of the collaboration with Torrefazione Baracco in Parma. The nose is notably marked by coffee aromas from the high elevations of the Equatorial regions. Fragrant malt roasts harmoniously mingle with coffee exotic aromas. The mouth has a velvety body with hints of caramel, cappuccino and smoked flavor. To all those crafts men like us who daily embody their passion by creating something unique.

I have always loved good coffee, particularly Arabica, because it evokes its long mastered roasting tradition in a few enduring sips. Conventional coffee on the other hand, is spoiled by the use of Robusta beans and the excessive over roasting.
Meeting Alberto was definitely a stroke of good luck. We became friends and I ended up developing a deep appreciation for his coffee. Together we created a coffee blend that would match my beer’s aroma. Although this coffee-stout experiment started as a game, it turned out to be quite successful.

Grande Coffee Stout. Scherzi a parte ottima stout.

Flavour is slightly sour with coffee, some oaty notes and dark chocolate. Flavour has coffee, some jalopeno‐like vegetables typical to coffee beers, mocha and dark chocolate. Palate is too foamy. I like the coffee notes here.

Pours a deep blak umber color with a three finger foam that stocks and settles in for the life of the beer. Aromas are soil, spent coffee grounds, a touch of sweet malt and vanilla bean. On the palate its bubbly and medium bodied for a stout... nice coffee flavors mingle with chocolate and some dark roasted earthy malts. Good balance of sweet and bitter on the finish. Nice !

Bottle, shared at local beer tasting october 20th 2012. Black body, creamy light brown head. Aroma of fresh espresso, malts, chocolate. Taste is roasty, espresso still showing, with cream and caramel, as the beer is probably too cold it resembles ice coffee a bit. Carboation is good, and a massive body for 5,2%. Ends roasty and dry, a very nice stout.
