Bottle 246/3000 (Islay Scotch 2002) from Erzbierschof Zurich. Wow! Clear scotch aroma, could be a single malt whiskey. Light chocolate and coffee as well. Beautiful black appearance, dark, slightly oily with creamy brownish head. Taste: What a surprise - dark malts, scotch notes, medium bitter, light sweet. Feels rather thick, barely any carbonation, bitter finish. Very well balanced, although the scotch taste is noticeably dominant. One of my favorites since the first bottle. Very well done! UPDATED: SEP 14, 2015 Bowmore-barrel aged version of Verdi with added chilli peppers. Sticky, firm, beige head, colour very dark brown, near black. Powerful and delightful aroma of coffee powder, toffee, tobacco, tar, cherries, hardly any chilli peppers (not sure if this is a good thing or not)... Peaty, earthy and smoky profile, chocolate and sweetish honeyish malts, liquorice, light peppery finish from hops and for all I know from the chilli peppers, some warming, very agreeable, whisky-like alcohol. Another masterpiece from Ducato - ti amo!

Whisky baaardzo du?o whisky w aromacie, do tego gorzka czekolada, praliny nadziewane whisky;) w smaku podobnie, do tego delikatny lekko pikantny finisz (dodatek papryczek w pierwotnej wersji zobowi?zuje). Nie sprawia wra?enia ci??kiego piwa. Polecam!

(bottle) pours a pitch black colour with a frothy brown head. aroma has heaps of char and peat smoke, toasted malts and espresso, with light notes of cherries and earth. flavour is overwhelmingly peaty and roasty, with light notes of dark chocolate and honey and a medium sweetness which balances out the roasted-bitter finish wonderfully. thick body with soft carbonation. the peat smoke is amazingly integrated here. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAY 16, 2011
Bottle @ ACBF. Aroma is woody bourbon, liquorice, iodine, some smoky peat and loads more.
Flavour is huge iodine, peat, liquorice, roasted malt, quite bitter with a touch of sweetness. Very nice. magdalar (516) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JAN 21, 2012
Bottle at Todomundo. Pours like engine oil, pitch black with a tan head. Smells strongly of peat, somewhat overwhelming, and chocolate, malt. Tastes a medium sweetness, a mild bitter, and spicyness with only a nice hint of the peat, but very smoothed from the aging. Full bodied. Velvety texture. Finishes well. gunnfryd (14836) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 19, 2012
