UPDATED: JUN 12, 2008 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Opaque black with coarse beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Very soft and verlvetty. Like whipped cream with tar pastiles and chocolate. Laid back, yet mouthfilling. Aniseed and a very slight warming tingle from the chili comes through in the salty finish. A wonderful, well balanced beer that exceeds my expectations. (Bottle 33 cl) Completely opaque black with a small rough beige head. Hard roasted malts in the nose. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt accents and some lightly sweet licorice. Hardly any bitterness. 011108

Copenhagen beer festival. Opaque black beer. Palate is not that thick. Smooth dark malts, not sour. Didn’t know about the chili in this so the fiery hot finish was a suprise! Decent though.
