750ml bottle (Sip, Tallinn) (5:3:6:3:11=2.8) Marduk (8505) - Reval, ESTONIA - JUN 28, 2017
Very harsh salad dressing balsamic sourness. Plenty of woody sourness, lacto and peddio bite, wood resins and acetone, some vinegar. Hazy straw, brief head. Deadish watery palate, acidic bite. Finish tingly old bitter hops, some acetone, and vinegar. A solventy salad dressing more than a beer, poor drinkability.
750ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy golden yellow color. Brief white head. Sour, acidic, some apricots, yeast and raw apples in aroma. Acidic, yeasty, sour, apricots and milky in taste. Apricots and acidic in aftertaste. Milky acidic and fruity mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Kind of drinkable brew. martjoobolut (5229) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 31, 2017
Bottle as "Ducato Vieille Ville Barrique", batch #3 2014, bottle #1793/1850 (from SIP). Pours hazy golden with whiteish head. It is a bit excited, but not a gusher. Aroma is sour, brett, fruits, apricots. Flavor is sour, bitter, bretty, fruity, apricots, mango, funk, oak, mold. Finish is dry, sour and bit acidic. Overall: very good, but like others have mentioned before - this is more a sour ale than saison. bergstaden (3260) - Røros, NORWAY - JAN 25, 2017
Light amber with white head - Sour wood and malt aroma - Sour wood and malt flavour - The sourness goes into the finish - This was good daje (4548) - NORWAY - OCT 10, 2016
Haand Festival 2016. Golden body with a white head. Aroma is floral with citrus zest, wood, tart berries, pineapple. Lactic taste with mango, pineapple, brett funk. Peppery and acidic finish, mild hoppy. Quite a good barreling this one.

750ml bottle, pours a hazy copper amber colour. Nose of light sour and brett and maybe some wine barrel. Flavour is a lot of brett toward the sour variety. This is like a sour saison. fiulijn (21461) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2016
Bottle from Denman, batch 3, year 2014, 2 years old, bottle 762 of 1850 Oakes (19013) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2016
Hazy golden color, small head, actually looks quite flat. Nice aroma, there are some of the funky elements of the regular Vieille Ville, not as strong, and the barrel adds an element, but not as good; the acidity is higher, the mouthfeel is undercarbonated, it’s a bit fruity, vinous, funky.
I prefer the regular beer, this is more sour but with less character, but it’s a good beer.
A slight haze, and light amber. Has a light brett character, maybe a touch of barrel. There is a lot of lacto, lots of brett. I would say that the saison character is basically gone from this beer. It ends up being more of a basic tart ale, without the same nuance that It’s a good beer, but it was better. mcberko (19175) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2016
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fairly complex, with medium barnyard funk, rustic farmhouse notes, and a touch of tartness. Flavour is quite funky and tart, with rustic farmhouse notes, funk, and medium tartness. Less aggressive carbonation than the regular, but still very interesting and complex. Good stuff. lupulist (354) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2016
Pours an orange colour. Aroma of funk and a hint of cheese. Nice wine barrel funk flavours. Fairly tart, and a bit of lacto.
