Colore arancio.

Pours a dark, hazy golden orange color that’s almost brown with a two finger frothy off-white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Slightly earthy aroma with boozy sweetness and light fruit notes. Slightly floral with hints of apple, pear and citrus peel. Light bodied with heavy carbonation up front and a heavy spice profile. Slightly watered down with zesty pepper, citrus and light fruit notes. Hints of apple, pear, grape and other berries along with some lemon peel and honey. There’s an odd metallic flavor toward the finish that hurts the drinkability and overall flavor.

Tasted sometime in mid-2011 from an odd-looking bottle at Lush West Town. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head that leaves an even layer of lace after a quick recession. The nose is tart green grapes, a bit of earth, red fruit, and a nice dose of bread malt. The flavor is tart and sour green grapes with a hint of red fruits, bread malt, and the same earthy not that I detected on the nose. The body is medium with lively, mouth-filling carbonation, and a medium tart and tannic finish.

Draught @Un Mare di Birra. I’ve never tasted it before and I think it’s a very pleasant summery beer. Very easy to drink. Flat white head, dark colour with floral and citrus aroma. Good.

[email protected] 2nd ES/CS Beer Tasting. (thanks MM!). Slightly hazy ambery orange colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruits, rather peppery along with some grassy and yeasty notes. Flavour is quite similar. The pepperyness leaves a nice burning aftertaste.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of spices. The flavor is sweet with light notes of fruit, malt, straw, and lemons. The body is light.

Hazy gold amber beer, very frothy white head. The head is full of flavour. A sour fruitiness that I think comes from the elderberry. The head is also a little spicy and there are subtle floral flavours. The beer itself is not so intense but quite sharp and sour with plenty of fruit and spice. The ending is sharp and crispy dry. There is a brief floral sweet note just before the end. Extraodinarily flavoursome for a 3.8% beer and something unique. Great stuff!
