750 ml bottle opened with quite a pop. Aromas of citrus, unknown spice and yeast? Hazy orange tinged gold color with a minimal white head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. A slightly brett-like sour for flavor with light spice, some yeast, and a lot of lighter fruits. I think I detect a little rose oil on the palate. Only a slight floral hoppiness. Reasonably dry. There’s a lot going on here. It’s very fresh and refreshing. A session ale for sure.

750 ml bottle, 4% ABV. A hazy orange/pale amber beer with a large, rocky and mostly lasting white head. Powerful and nice aroma, vert flowery, some malt and notes of honey and spices (pepper). Really fresh nose. The flavour is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Very original and peculiar and surely well executed and hard to describe. Also flavourful for such a light beer. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness

Hazy gold amber beer, very frothy white head. The head is full of flavour. A sour fruitiness that I think comes from the elderberry. The head is also a little spicy and there are subtle floral flavours. The beer itself is not so intense but quite sharp and sour with plenty of fruit and spice. The ending is sharp and crispy dry. There is a brief floral sweet note just before the end. Extraodinarily flavoursome for a 3.8% beer and something unique. Great stuff!

Cloudy orange-light amber colour, beautiful head, creamy, lace. Original aroma, like a wine wort, scent of Fragola grape, prunes, light elderflowers. Light body (anyway necessary to exalt the floral notes), floral, delicate; dry, pretty bitter. Simple palate. Original but not outstanding.

Pre-Great Taste sampling at 1FastSti’s house

Thanks to JPDIPSO for bringing this - it was the start of a nonstop barrage of excellent beers that flowed for the rest of the night. I enjoyed this one. The combination of funkiness and fruitiness made it fun to drink.

Aroma / Appearance - The murky peachy body fizzed up to a height of one-finger at its highest. When it subsided, it left behind the smells of a musty barn, sour peaches and smoked bacon. Hiding in the background was a bit of spiciness waiting to be unleashed.

Flavor / Palate - A strong peachy impression floated through my mouth. The mouthfeel was spicy and hoppy with a background of cherry, caramelized sugar and a base earthiness. The aftertaste was slightly sweet and funky, reminding me most of raspberries. It was very mild - I could drink many of these on a warm day just to cool down.

1 liter bottle brought to Jimmack Invitational’07. Bottle is now a year old. Pours a murky dark golden with a small head. Aroma is very original, very spiced ala raw meat rub. Spiky on the nose with lots of green herbs. Taste is a bit more died done, a very herbal, organic, green saison. Lots of flavors, light bodied and amply carbonated. Short organic-earthy aftertaste. Very original, would definitely drink again.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 6, 2007
Draught at the brewery. Cloudy amber pour covered with the usual Birrificio Italiano charming and enormous, firm, lasting white head. Highly perfumey aroma, almost explosive. It is hard to believe that this holds under 4% ABV. Rosewater and lightly honeyed, toasted maltiness. A most original effort, sensuously sweet and flowery, grainy and with a certain refreshing tartness. Not as complex as its ingredients’s list, but very easy to drink and surely well integrated. I’ll try again from the bottle and will adjust my opinion accordingly, because this is the kind of beer that you rarely face.

Hazy amber color/ white head. Soft floral, herbal, spice aromas. light to medium bodied. Very good mesh of floral, lavender, pale malt, other herb and spice flavors, everything plus the kitchen sink here.

Draught @Un Mare di Birra. I’ve never tasted it before and I think it’s a very pleasant summery beer. Very easy to drink. Flat white head, dark colour with floral and citrus aroma. Good.
