(1L bottle) Pours a cloudy amber body with a medium white head. Aroma of a florist shop dominated by roses on Valentines Day. Flavor of floral hops, berries, citrus, honey, and gueuze-like sourness. Reminds me a lot of a rose beer I had while in Dali, China last year. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 13, 2007
1L bottle, courtesy of argo0. Thanks, Aaron! Pours a cloudy grapefruit appearance; off-white head with good lacing. Tart citrus and grapefruit; spice and floral notes in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: tart grapefruit and citrus; mild, zesty acidity; yeasty notes. Medium, tart finish, showing grapefruit and some dough. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - SEP 28, 2007
I liked this one at Jimacks. Very different. Nose is very floral with some sour berries. Taste is very complex and screams food. Must have been brewed with the kitchen sink, a little bit of this and that. Not luck on the brewers part, I believe they aimed and hit the target. Bottle says violets, roses, and elderberries. Now I don’t get roses or violets specificly but some flowers for sure. Thanks beastie. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Bottle at Carolina Crew tasting. Saw this on sale at Sam’s and was put off by all the spices. Overall, though, this was a very solid beer. Cloudy bright orange pour with white head. Tart aroma. Citrus, rosehips, vegetable notes. Some bread. Solid, and a nice low-alcohol beer. Great way to start off the night. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - OCT 10, 2008
Bottle. Pours light amber yellow body with a light head. Floral notes, elderberries and a hint of honey. No etoh noticed. Light pilsner malt and a tart sweetness.

A nice flowery citrus aroma. This has some crazy floral bite to this. Very tangy with a lot of citrus. Mostly just strange. No way to accurately describe this and I’m not sure if I like it. thewombat (112) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUL 29, 2009
Heavy white head, dark orange pour. Smells sour, lambicy fruity, of orange. Tastes light, spicy, floral and weird. Light mouthfeel, semi-watery. Tasted like those old-fashioned violet candies. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - AUG 18, 2012
25.4oz bottle-shared by jtclockwork-pours cloudy/hazy gold with a light tan head. Aroma is berry, spice/herbal/floral, light/medium malt. Taste is soft berry with some tart, herbal/lemon hops, honey, light/medium malt-bready. Not as much going on here as the nose. Soft carbonation, easy. Silvan7 (1261) - Samarate, ITALY - APR 23, 2013
Bottle @ home, from the brewery.
Sample at the Birch. Lightly tart and funky. Straw color. Sharp and lightly tart and funky.
