COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With Huehuetenango coffee.
This beer is an ale, amber-colored discharge high fermentation produced using traditional English malts and hops. The particularity of this beer is absolutely innovative in the use of Huehuetenango coffee beans, toasted or not. The final product will be marked notes of fresh coffee in a brown robe of a monk. Although the palate the notes of a classic traditional beer, stands on the nose and aftertaste of a stamp net of aromatic coffee which is the Huehuetenango

Bottle from Domus Birrae, Rome. Almost black, beige head. Lovely coffee flavour, the Italians know a thing or two about coffee.. Splendid balance - fruit, bitter coffee, sweet milk, dry finish. A little soot and sourness in the tail. One of the big surprises of the year.

Bottle at the East Croydon Beer Tasting. K-Dog comin’ through! Pours foggy brown with a foamy, off-white head. Aroma holds raw, sharp ground coffee with just hints of dark malts. Flavor is pretty sweet, thankfully, standing up to what is a rich coffee character. Some sweet, roasted malts and mild bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with mild warmth, balanced coffee and burnt malts. A fairly delicious beer.

Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Very hazy dark brown pour. Extreme coffee aroma. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is semi-espresso. Nicely done. Rather smooth. Very drinkable.

Ottima

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a generous tan head and a coffee aroma. The flavor is also of coffee with some chocolate. It’s slightly sweet and quite intense. I was surprised to find that this beer carries an average rating. I liked it a lot.

Woow! On bottle, 75cl. Light, drinkable and absolutely not nasty as you drink. Fabulous, because it’s a great blend of cocoa and coffee. Very noticeable each one of those two tastes, but it’s not nasty at the same time. Lack of froth with a medium low carbonation. Great job! By the way, on the bottle it’s indicated as Alc. 4.5% Vol, not 7.5% as reported in the beer description here reported.

Hazy mahogany with no head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Flavour had roasted malt, caramel, dark fruits, nuts and chocolate. Finished sweet.

Pours an extremely dark brown with a moderate head. Subtle coffee notes in the nose that become more apparent when tasting it. Not bad, but certainly not one of the best stouts.

On tap at the Ginger Man. Pours a deep black with brown edging and a thin mocha head. Loads of coffee on the nose, covering most everything else, but there’s a hint of some roast and chocolate behind it. Astringent coffee, roast, more roast, bitter, creamy, sweet. Bitter cocoa, malt, light creamy caramel. Finishes bitter, with more roast, and a lingering bitterness. Slightly one dimensional and a touch thin, but still good.
