Brewed with tapioca, quinoa, amaranth and rice

It is inspired by the style Weizen, German beers made with malted wheat and non-fermenting, will be enriched with the use of a variety of cereals from South-world and by slow food Presidia: amaranth, quinoa, rice and tapioca. These unusual grains into beer cause an increase of fragrances which tend to be cool and almost mentholated a balsamic vinegar that makes it easy to drink. Pale blonde color with a strong turbidity typical reference style.

Pours a clear golden/orange with plenty of off-white head. Smells of lemon, orange, and herbs. Sweet grains mix with floral, spicy and citrus notes. There is a lingering finish with sweet tapioca and rosemary. Interesting, but not worth the $10.99 price tag.

Bottle:   Dark straw, dirty, sediment floats to the bottom, moderate to large foamy white head, spotty lacing.   Bright floral nose, a bit candyish and artificial tho.   Also lots of pixie stix like dust.   Shrubby

floral start, a bit of unripened goose berry and red huckleberry.   Very spritzy, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Has a distinct unripened red huckleberry like finish, along with the sweet pixie stix like candyish flavor.

Not bad, a little different too.

Bottle. Pours a rather hazy dark copper color with a fairly thick white head. Nose is wheaty and citrusy and reminds me quite a bit of a hefeweizen. Taste is ever-so-slightly sour from the citrus, but remains drinkable, despite its heaviness.

Cloudy orange - amber beer, good white head. Crisp dry palate. A little orange citrus. Dry minerals. Vaguely herby. Dry finish. Not really getting this beer but it’s inoffensive and refreshing.

Panama City Beach, Fl - Chan’s Wine World (brought back by my wife) - 500 ml bottle. Pours a murky medium orange, some floaties, with a soft white beady head. Aroma is fresh and fruity with some lemon accents, a hint of yeast. Unique flavor with some slightly sour notes reminiscent of sweet tart candy, some citrus bitterness, a bit of saffron-like spiciness. Underlying yeastiness throughout. Nice full mouthfeel with just the right amount of spritz.

Bottle. Yellow pour with a small sized head. Aromas of rice. Tastes of rice with some sweetness (guessing the tapioca).

egajdzis (6769) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 1, 2012
Lightly hazy golden color with a small, white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of rice, some sweeter malts. Taste was starchy, rice, toffee, unpleasant finish.

cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Bottle at Haggerty’s Fantasy Tasting. Pours hazy yellow orange with a very short white head that stays as film. Aroma is that of a saison. Yeast and fruit. Light-medium body, bubbly carbonation, and a grainy finish. I enjoyed this.
