In short: A blonde IPA with a fun fruity-grassy-spicy hop bill. Decent beer.JulienHuxley (5909) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 24, 2014
How: Bottle 330ml, consumed a week after purchase directly from the exclusive importer of this Italian brewery in Spain.
The look: Cloudy dark blonde body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: The medium-aromatic hoppy nose is grassy, spicy and fruity hops and with an array of fruits that doesn’t feel generic fruity hops. There seems to be fruity esters that are not hop related emanating from the beer as well. In mouth the beer has a slender body, a slightly doughy texture, plenty of little hard bubbles, overall decent mouthfeel. Taste is interesting. The pale bready malt backbone feels very doughy-chewy and with a low sweetness sensation. Then assertive hops with a fun signature blending red ruby grapefruits, wet grass, peaches, a certain spiciness. Not a great beer but I appreciated the hop character that didn’t feel like déja-vu, something I rarely say about an APA/IPA nowadays. And speaking of Runners, I respect runners but I personally don’t need to exercise, when I want to get my heart rate way up all I have to do is look at my wife using the computer and think that maybe she is looking at my browser history.
On tap at Hoppy Days. Clear pale gold pour with bubbly white head? What?s up with the cask appearance of all these beers? Anyhow. Aroma is really nice, fresh dank hop, really grassy and citrusy. Taste is really hoppy, light bitterness, really nice and crisp. Palate is really light, dry, with light carbonation. Tasty session PA. Borresteijn (7403) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 18, 2014
On tap at Hoppy Days. Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, some pine, grapefruit, light malty. Flavour is light sweet, dry, crisp malts, nice fruity and citrusy hops, firm dry bitterness in the finish. Light-bodied. Very sessionable. brianza_ale (216) - ITALY - OCT 8, 2014
33cl in teku. Pours a small dense and bubbly head, cloudy golden colour with bubbles attached to glass and going everywhere. Smells very aromatic, orange, zesty, honey, hoppy, that’s a nice aroma. Taste is actually more malty than expexted, intially, then leaves place gradually to a small to medium bitterness; caramel malt, citrus and resinous; herbaceous and quite lasting finish. Medium bodied, quite soft carbonation. Overall a very nice aroma, a bit more lacking in the taste in my opinion
