Taste is markedly bitter, with a bit of sweetness behind. Finish is average. ciocanelu (3197) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - FEB 19, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2018 On tap at Be.Re. Really dark brown pour with creamy beige head. Aroma has sweet toasted malt, coffee, light liquorice and resiny hops with some orange rind. Taste is quite IPA forward, the black part is induced only by some light malt roastiness. Hops are mostly resiny with some orange notes and fresh herbs. Light to medium body and carbonation, soft mouthfeel. Overall this is one of the "blind" style black IPAs, really easy drinking and smooth on the palate. Sampled from a bottle from Kihoskh. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and grass. The taste is fresh and upfront with an unusual mixture of chocolate with grass, pine resin and grapefruit. A good malty flavour without being sweet, with a long aftertaste of citrussy hops. Highly drinkable - a very well-made and characterful beer.

Farlig lettdrikkelig. SinH4 (6910) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - SEP 21, 2017

Spicy hoppy and roasty malt aroma, a bit messy. Spruce tips and dirty earthy bitterness in the taste. Finish dusty and dirty. Not good as the local dark hoppy beers, but does cover the alcohol decently. Rough. Overrate?
330ml bottle. Very dark brown almost black color. Smalls size, bubbly off-white head, stays. Citrus, roast, some chocolate, yeasty in aroma. Citrus, milky, roast, yeasty in taste. Yeasty and citrusy in aftertaste. Covers alcohol. Drinkable brew.
