Flasche 50cl. Richtig gut!

I’m a pils lover and this is one of best 5 in Germany. Intensive experience of hop . Floral and herbst persistant. Light alcohol . A good moment .

Crisp clear golden pour of light liquid with a nice fluffed white head. Nose is somewhat skunky with clean malt and faint hop notes. Minimal citrus with mostly malt presence. Flavor is crisp malt, not nearly as skunked, with mild citrus notes and a clean finish. Really enjoyable and not a bad pilsner.

Caytinator (1005) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 14, 2012
33cL bottle. Not the best pilsner, but definitely drinkable, crisp. "Basic" taste, not very complex, but if this is all you’re looking for, you’ll be pleased.

Cloudy body with small white head. Nose was yeasty. Light mouth feel here, refreshing brew.

BlackHaddock (7233) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2012
International Green Week, Berlin 2012: our second day and Hall 20 is full of goodies, products from Niederschen, Bremen, Baden-Wurttemberg, Thuringen, Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz all competing with each other. I’m drawn to a bar selling this beer: can’t remember why though! 0.3 Litre draft glass of a light golden Pilsner, usual clean and bright looks; regular thin snowy white head that didn’t stay too long. Normal un-smelling Pilsner; gets my standard score of 3 for that. Dry and obviously refreshing (like all Pilsners?) this had a hop bitterness and a slight metallic twang initially, which I’m pleased to say disappeared although I thought the body harsh rather than crisp. Difficult to quantify the whole tasting: the beer grew on me, but has a flaw in its make-up: the brewing process or the main ingredient (water) doesn’t sit right somehow.

Pale yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of hay, butter and bread. A flavor of meat, cooked and vegetables.

Test vom 10.7.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,10,10,11,11,11 - 10,80

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2011 I really liked this the first time I had it, but subsequent encounters have left me wondering why.
Aroma is very metallic with some pale malt and a hint of noble hops.
Taste is also very metallic up front, with leafy hop bitterness in the swallow, and peppery noble hops in the finish. Malts are barely detectable. I find that brewing with hard water seems to put a harsh edge on the hop character of the finished beer, and I definitely get that here. This may help Bischoff stand up against rich saucy foods better than other pilseners, but for me, makes it less enjoyable alone.

yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 17, 2011
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear one, quite pale golden, and topped by a small, off-white head. A bit boring on the nose, but there’s a quite pleasant grassy, piney hoppyness and pale malts. A bit sweetish in the flavor, still quite dy. Medium body. Nicely carbonated. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, with pale malts as a backdrop. A quenching, straightforward pilsner that tastes good too. 110129
