Seemed a little thin for this style. A reddish-brown body with a thin off white head that had some retention. Aroma had a one denominational malt note that was overall sweet. Flavor seemed to have a distinct molasses note with some off setting chocolate notes. Kind of light. bottle was dated 2/4/2008. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 12, 2009
As Bischoff Dopplebock. Clear brown with reddish tint and a thin tan head. Aroma of heavy skunk, toffee, tobacco and brown sugar. Taste is sweet and artificial with tobacco, mild chocolate, stale corn and alcohol. Finishes up dry with some alcohol warming. PorterPounder (8074) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 27, 2009
Athens,Ga., Five Points Bottle Shop - 500 ml screw off bottle. Pours a dark chocolate colored brown with a khaki colored head that sticks around a while and leaves nice lacing. Aroma of molasses and chocolate. Rib sticking flavor with plenty of juicy molasses, brown sugar and bittersweet chocolate. thick, rich mouthfeel. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. hellbilly (3248) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - MAY 10, 2009
bottled as doppel bock bb24/4/2008.
this is my first beer experience outside of ML with a stelvin cap!
it pours clear a dark auburn brown with a soft tan tinted off white head.
it smells really skunky, sweet and metallic malty... that’s it?!
the flavor is very two dimensional... crummy hop extract and malt powder... i can reach for chocolate, corn and molasses but it’s a stretch. it s far too sweet with nothing developing to make up for the short comings of this sticky mess. i need a shower... 3/3/3/2/8/1.9 oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 12, 2009
Bottled (as Bischoff Doppel Bock), from Timo A, thanks! Deep amber colour, small beige head. Saltwater, caramel and some slight alcohol in aroma. Flavour is quite much the same. Very bittery and quite harshly dull.

Bottled "Doppel Bock" (BB 09/2009).
Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Strong grassy and cardboardish aroma. Grassy, hop extract -like flavor, some caramel and toasted malts. Fizzy carbonation. Real bulk doppelbock ... like "malt liquer dunkel". heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAR 6, 2009
Labeled as Bischoff Doppel Bock, in a screw top bottle. Light khaki colored head with a medium brown body. The aroma is like a dunkel with some cherry flavored bubblegum and a little bit of tobacco. The taste had some nasty green wood and abc gum. There was also a little bit of cheap tobacco. Sweet and doughy. YK23 (465) - Haifa, ISRAEL - FEB 20, 2009
Bottle: some fruity maltyness, some bready notes, some harbal notes, Quinine like notes, some hoppy and metallic bitterness, some unpleasent sour notes, weak roasted notes, medium-full body, well it’s drinkable but not a good beer. tomer (3565) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - FEB 10, 2009
0.33L bottle labeled as doppelbock, light smallish head. Clear light brown colour with reddish taints, aroma of honey drops with herbal hoppy notes and touches of vanila, Suprisingly strong hoppy bitterness with some honey and dried fruits sweetness, dry sweet and sour aftertaste. Thin, light bodied doppelbock that is way too hoppy. zvikar (6198) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JAN 21, 2009
From bottle, coca cola like with no gas, small tan head that dissapears quickly, some deep sweet aromas of chocolate dark fruits not too spicy, flavor is quite surprising, roasted malts sweetness, hops from start to the finish minty hoppiness can be sensed in the aftertaste some cloves as well, different one.
