Bottle. Clear orange coloured with an off white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and fruits. Sweet flavour of malts, caramel, dried fruits and rye bread.

Bottled (as Bischoff Doppel Bock), from Timo A, thanks! Deep amber colour, small beige head. Saltwater, caramel and some slight alcohol in aroma. Flavour is quite much the same. Very bittery and quite harshly dull.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2006
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, roasted, malty nose. Lovely full body with sweet, roasted malt and accents of dried fruit. Very subdued bitterness. Pleasant indeed. 140806

Test vom 5.1.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,10,10,9,9,10 - 9,90

Oakes (19370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 19, 2012
Draught, as Bischoff Doppelbock. Medium brown colour. Slightly fruity sugar aroma. Sweet sugary taste with some fruity character but this isn’t rich like a tropical sugar. So in that respect, it is less than ideal, but if you start to think of it as a tropical stout rather than a doppelbock your opinion improves.

TBone (18552) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 10, 2009
Bottled "Doppel Bock" (BB 09/2009). Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Strong grassy and cardboardish aroma. Grassy, hop extract -like flavor, some caramel and toasted malts. Fizzy carbonation. Real bulk doppelbock ... like "malt liquer dunkel".

MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2006
Bottle, 7.5%. Dark brown colour. Dusty flavour, nice and peppery. OK roastedness. OK mouthfeel with pleasant carbonation.

bhensonb (15965) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 8, 2010
Bottle as Doppel Bock. Pours amber copper with a large foamy tan head. Rich dark roast malt aroma. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is somewhat sweet dark caramel with a little grassy hop, I think. Finishes very mellow.
