Lightly hazed light golden color. tall milky white head. Grassy hops with a pils malt backdrop. Had hoped for a more noble nose. Soft malt flavors abound. Very mild herbal hops and a nice light bite in the finish coupled with a light pale malt linger. The temperatures hit the 50s today and already I am looking forward to Pils season. If this is global warming, bring it on! Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUL 13, 2006
Nice pour, a lively golden body with a sustained creamy head that does some lasting lacing. The aroma is that of fresh bread artfully blended with a grassy bitterness. The nose follows into the mouth (?!), finishing on a mildly bitter note. Good stuff.beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - DEC 22, 2005

This German Pilsner pours an orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Huge sized white foamy head, long lasting with good lacing. Aroma is grainy and grassy, touch of sweetness. A medium to full bodied pilsner. Malts are grainy and grassy, slightly sweet. Somewhat spicy hops. Smooth taste. Kind of full tasting for a pilsner, it lacks that crisp and clean dryness that one would expect of a pilsner, but it has a nice hop bite at the finish to compensate. Clean and refreshing. This is a nice Pilsner. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and slightly hoppy. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JAN 27, 2004
Pale gold in color, very nice head with excellent lacing. Aroma is grainy, with cut grass and dried parsley coming through strongly. Full, rounded mouthfeel, bit of sweetness, floral hops, touch of bitterness. Maybe not as drying as some would care for, but quite full flavored and enjoyable. (500 ml bottle: $2.29 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Quite a grainy pilsener, getting close to tasting like corn, moderately sweet for the style, but it’s pretty tasty. I also find the spicy, mildly bitter hop character very enjoyable. Corn/grain aroma dominates the nose, but the spiciness of the hops is delightful. Light-medium bodied, clean, somewhat crisp in the finish, with a pleasant aftertaste and mouthfeel. Medium straw color, but also lightly cloudy from the bit of yeast in the bottle. The tall, stable, white head pours to over an inch in height, and never drops below a quarter-inch. Abundant intricate lacing decorates the glass like a doily. A very nice pils, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this again.

Full and thick, this is not particularly dry or crisp. Hop aroma, but not much hop aftertaste. Drew (2470) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JAN 5, 2003
Oh man, that name is sure a mouthfull! Gold, with excellent lacing. Has a nice dryness and some hops, but not crisp enough for me. Panzuriel (2429) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - SEP 4, 2002
Nice Pilsener. Good crisp and clean mouthfeel. Nice color. Good aroma. Very good on a Hot day. Schroppfy (2362) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - AUG 14, 2004
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2004 Hoppy, apparently because it uses hop extract as well as hops. Pehaps a mix of Saaz and Hallertauer, but this is dripping with all the delights of stinky wet haylike pale malt in abundance and great hopping. Big back of the throat medicinal bitter drip at the finish. Slightly artificial, but in more of a european sense (not adjuncty, corny) - Whoa - loads of great softer bitterness at the end becuase of an abundance of yeastiness...mmmm...bottle-conditioning. Seek this one out! GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - NOV 17, 2006
It’d be nice if we could land this beer a bit more frequently in the Bay Area. Aroma is grassy and a bit metallic (think a dirty nickel). Appearance was clear, yellow in color with a very nice head with good lacing. Mouthfeel was a little lazy as it didn’t have that feel a good pilsner has. Flavor had a definite hoppy character to it with a satisfying finish. Overall a decent German pils. I’d imagine this would be even better fresh.
