COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the past era, hard working rural "Saisonniers" consumed 5 liters per day of this style beer. We re-created it for today’s modern worker using Belgian yeasts and sour mashing for a refreshing spiceness and acidity to enliven your palate. Bottle conditioning leaves some sediment, so decant by slowly pouring into a wide mouth glass. Refill this bottle at your favorite local brewery.

Ungstrup (37558) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2007
Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and peaches. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of peaches and spices among them ginger, leading to a dry and slightly spicy finish.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 28, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Hazy, pale amber golden with a white head. Spicy, slightly perfumy aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet, fruity notes. Plenty of yeast and diacetyl. Not overly thrilling. 270607

Oakes (17649) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 8, 2007
Light amber colour. Coriander, cinnamon on the nose...light oxidation as well. Rounded spiciness on the palate with light toasty malts, some brown sugar. Hop and spice last throughout what you’d normally consider a clean finish for the style. Not bad stuff.

4.1
bhensonb (15188) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 7, 2007
Champagne cork popping effect. Citrusy (lemon?) aroma, mixed spice, and yeast. No malt smell. Orange tinged golden color with a white head that nearly overwhelms the glass, subsiding with a wee bit of lacing. Starts with a spicey clove, perhaps some coriander. Followed by hop. Citrus and yeast wander around. Dry, arguably a hint of acidity. Substantial mouthfeel. Refreshing. Likely the best of Bison.

3.5
Ratman197 (14822) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUN 20, 2007
Swingtop bottle poured a hazy gold with a large dense lasting white head. Aromas of pears, spices, yeast and a hint of melon. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of graininess, spices, some general fruitiness and yeast with a crisp dry finish.

3.9

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy amber color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate yeasty spice and tart fruit aroma. Light to medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour citrus flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid refreshing beer.
