12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is subtle, with notes of dry bitter cocoa and light roastiness. Flavour is along the same lines, featuring a dry palate of bitter dry cocoa and medium roasted malt. Pretty gentle and smooth -- could use a thicker mouthfeel and a rounder flavour profile, but for a "smaller" stout, this is quite nice. mikedevilsfan (226) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 4, 2015
color is black with almost no lacing. Aroma is straight forward roasty malts. Taste is kind of neutral with a very dry finish. In fact the bulk of this beer is the finish, which is pleasantly dry, but doesn’t make up for a lack of anything remotely interesting taste wise. It’s pretty boring actually. I wouldn’t drink this again.

Pours a brown color with tan head. Charred cocoa, charred malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Very bitter and off-putting. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 24, 2014
very good. Balanced, long flavour; notes of berries and dark fruit. Lots of taste given the low ABV obguthr (6304) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - DEC 19, 2014
Toasted malt nose. Cola brown, headless. Walnut and cardboard flavor. Unftunately the latter is dominant and lingers. Body is medium to ligt, moderte carbonation.

Aroma of chocolate, taste is milk chocolate, roasted malts, slight bitterness, pretty good! kidobutai (684) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - NOV 19, 2014
Poured from a bottle. The head is a little disappointing, but it has okay lacing and rich brown color that is appealing. It smells better than it tastes, I don’t think that the organic does it any favors. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 31, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown, with a small, light tan head. Aroma is a chocolate, mocha, burnt grains. Taste is a bitter chocolate with undertones of coffee. Ron (3925) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 28, 2014
Bottle at Swiss Louis on Pier 39 in San Fran. Poured from my bottle a light black with tan head. The aroma was bitter sweet chocolate, malts, and yeast. Taste was light chcocolate, a malty backbone. Overall a decent beer, I was wishing for more of the chocolatey bittersweet to come through though. arn8897 (389) - Trenton, Ohio, USA - OCT 21, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2015 Pours a deep rich dark brown. Nice dark tan head with long lasting retention. Smells of chocolate and a hint of coffee and wheat. However thin on the palate and tastes a little weak suprisingly.
