3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from bottle. Pours a dark brown, 1 finger head which dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is initially ginger and sweetness from the malt, followed by a bit of coffee. Taste is good with a fairly typical porter profile of coffe and chocoloate followed with the ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg. The carbonation is fairly high, but not so much that it is out of style.
in portland .. . brown .. mild head, lacing .. . fuck dancing .. the spice is nice, leveled out .. mouth is where it drops a bit, but its not unexpected or unpleasant .. its nice, i’d want turkey with this. no joke. and some biscuits, tall style .. Smells like gingerbread. Medium carbonation with very light foam. Taste is all gingerbread. Aftertaste is 10-20 seconds and the same with the addition of a slightly bitter ginger taste. Ferris (15272) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 18, 2015
Bottle - Spicy cinnamon ginger, malty and dark sugars. Deep a,beer with a light beige head. Light bitter toffee and some spice with a touch of ginger. OK but nothing special. DuffMan (10429) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 18, 2015
Bottle, shared by Ferris. Clear deep copper, off white head. Aroma and flavour is floral mace with dark caramel. Simple amber ale with a prominent spice character. butter14 (12) - Florida, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Caramel notes aroma with a hint of ginger, brown color with a small amount of lacing. Medium body. Has some bitterness similar to a stout. The ginger flavor is apparent almost to a fault.

This is one of my favorite holiday flavors :) It has a very rich toasty flavor while the gingerbread in it is very distinct while not overdone. It’ll pour dark but isn’t as bitter as some of their other brews :) cheap (5857) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 12, 2015
Drank a bottle shared with the family. Smells like mild stout, dark too. Perhaps some spices in the back of the olfactory. Decent co2 and mild stoutish flavors in there. Ginger yes, but its not in yer face. No burn and its just layen around in the background barely perceivable. Not overdone in the spices and I appreciate that. arminjewell (9646) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Pour out of bottle, dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought cinnamon, clove, ginger into a bit of caramel, slight dark fruit, some toasted bread in there with a hint of nuts. Taste is a mix of bread, biscuit, toffee into some ginger, cinnamon, slight clove into some hints of sugar, finishing dry, slightly spicy. mike5326 (1754) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - DEC 21, 2014
Poured from a bottle. Medium clear brown color, small white head. Ginger bread and burnt match aroma. Light body with a watery malt flavor and a light finish.

Toasty malt aroma has bready and, yes, ginger overtones. Pours barely translucent mahogany with a fairly thick dirty light tan head. Flavor has roast malt at its core, which supports ginger, cloves, and subtle caramel notes. Texture is rather watery and not too fizzy. Still, a good brew for the winter holidays, whatever you celebrate.
