COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before brewing our classic summer ale, we went to the certified organic farmer’s market to go shopping. The fresh basil is from Watanabe Farms in West Sacramento and the Honey is from Britt’s Honey, two California artisanal producers. This brew is subtle and refreshing. Starting in 2012, Honey Basil Ale will be a year round offering in 4 packs.

ok beer from Bison. The basilaftertaste (and aroma once the beer warmed) worked surprisingly well, but the light (ie-watery) honey ale flavor, while refreshing, was a touch generic and left me wanting a little more. not bad, though."

Bottle. Light bread and grain for the malt, hearbs and soap for the hops and yeast, with a faint hint of honey. Head is small, fizzy, off-white withno lacing and is fully lacing. Color is hazy medium amber/orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes slightly acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a fizzy carbonation. Nothing standesout much in the this Honey beer, but it very drinkable.

This is a solid beer. On tap at NAOBF. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A massive basil nose, smells like spaghetti. The flavor is light sweet malts, big basil. it fits in quite nice and is refreshing. Solid.

Bottle from Pizza Port bottle shop: Created a thick fluffy pillow of head while the liquid was a honey gold color with chunks of yeast floating around. Aroma is strong in the basil scent and smells fresh and organic as if it were freshly bought basil leaves. The flavor is just the same with intense basil flavor as if I was eating a basil based spaghetti sauce. There also is some other micro green or herbs that dominate the flavor such as mint and rosemary with almost no sign of the honey, hop, or malt.

From lardos 2-23-14 on tap; excellent oily thick white head. There us a sweet honey taste with some herbal bitterness. Basil apparent but not blatant. Good summer beer 8.75 bd. Jd- 7.5 bitter but good summer brew. Faint spice aroma

Decent beer, nothing special. Pours a nice cloudy orange. Basil and honey in the smell. Taste starts with a bit of honey, ends with a bit of basil, but isn't super interesting. Had in the bottle at Beer 39. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
